If someone told me Mazara made a bone head play. I would have put my 401k on it being a Flagrant 2 and ejection haha
This. Had that been a game changing call, I would agree but Auburn got away with well over 20 non fouls. Broome really should have picked up his 3rd about midway through the 1st half which meant he would have sat for the remainder of the half. Then he would have picked up #4 minutes into the 2nd half and then it would have been game over.
You know what's funny, I actually thought auburn played better without Broome on the floor. There was a stretch in the first half where I thought they played quicker and were getting great looks. He slows them down walking down the court.
You must be new around here. Welcome the Gator basketball forum. Stop, watch and listen...if you have the stomach or enough medication.
Cmon guys, the travel, the double dribble are constantly missed calls in all levels of basketball leagues. It is sickening for an old purist like me to watch. The 3 second rule, does it even exist anymore? How often was Broome camped out, or Flagg. If we got away with a non call, I chalk it up to incompetent officials, cause I don’t think they’re gonna give us anything. At least playing Houston in the finals I expect a fair game. They’re not the darlings that Duke seems to be.
Actually great point. He definitely was not 100% but it sure didn't stop him from pushing Condon in the back with both hands.
A podcast I listened to made the point that when Broome was injured earlier in the year it mattered not to Auburn; they just kept winning.
Right before halftime of our game, Auburn had a player camped in the paint from the 15 second mark down to the 7 second mark. Our guys were going nuts pointing out to the official looking right at it. I guess it's not called anymore.
Which is why, despite being a great college player, will not get drafted that high. His game will not translate as well in the NBA. Walt should get drafted ahead of him
Hes too slow to play in the NBA, and he has no lift. Too much space in the NBA and I just don't see him being able to guard or make shots that aren't put backs.
Yeah, my bad after reading the other posts. I initially read it as “you can’t jump without dribbling.” My brain is a little foggy this morning. I didn’t need anymore drinks after the UF game and Duke’s loss put me over the top.
