Refs were clearly against us yet we overcame it

It was disgusting watching call after call go auburn’s way. Those refs should all be investigated and never officiate an ncaa tournament game again. Yes it was that bad. So many clean blocks they called fouls on us. Balls that were clearly out on them called off on us. I heard the flagrant was a joke but it was on the other side far away from where I was. If we get these same refs against Duke we might not be able to overcome it.

Not a great video, but look at what Broome did to Condon late. How can the refs miss this?

And the ref with both hands up in the air was staring at the play the whole time.

It wouldn’t matter that I know how it ends, if I rewatched our game, I’d still get pissed each no call on Broome. Along with all the other bad no calls. Terrible called game.

The same ref called the travel on Richard, incorrectly overturned an out of bounds play , called Haugh for a foul on the perfect block, awarded Auburn a jump ball when none of their players even had a hand on the ball (we call that a foul around these parts).

Guy needs his bank accounts audited before being allowed to ref ever again.

The flagrant 1 call was correct.

But there was about a five minute stretch where we got hosed badly.

So I'm loosely hanging on to sobriety and enjoying the euphoria of the moment . . . can someone give anecdotes or better yet, a rundown of the bad/missed calls? TBH I felt like the early part of the game was hands off and that the Gators could have been called for a couple fouls where the refs let 'em play. I don't contest the premise, I'm interested in rewatching and seeing where this happened.
Regardless, on to the championship against a strong Houston team. They will be a problem, but Duke would have also been a problem. Go Gators!

If Broome tries this kind of stuff in the NBA he will get drilled.

Broome is a very overrated player. Can’t shoot, awful free throw shooter, terrible ball handler, and slow on perimeter defense. He’s a 2-tool player: 1) bang and score within 5 feet of basket and 2) foul so much the refs become immune to them

No chance he’s an NBA player beyond the last guy on the bench or 2-way player bouncing between the G League

There were non-calls that should've went Gators' way. There were questionable calls that should've went the Gators' way. GatorBoyz always found a way to play through it...

When you foul more than your opponent, you will have more fouls than your opponent. I don’t see why people point to that stat as being relevant. That stat also doesn’t account for momentum swings that occur with non-calls or missed-calls.

Auburn is the type of team that dares the officials to call the fouls they commit, and it seems they got away with a lot this game. Florida isn’t that type of team, so when the officials “let the opposing team play”, that really isn’t Florida’s style and puts them at a disadvantage.

Methinks the main reason he came back wasn't to win National Player of the Year or a NC but because he just isn't NBA quality. A newer version (although different game) of Oscar Tshiebwe.

Refs just letting him getaway with that the whole entire game. Actually, they were helping Aubie for most of the game. I was so glad they made the right call on Broom's last touch out of bounce call that went through Martin's legs. Otherwise I would have busted the glass off my coffee table and remote control.

It’s funny, looking at the Auburn boards, it sounds like the refs were paid by Florida.

Agreed....Gross # of fouls is a lazy stat. Many of the fouls were of the intentional variety to try to get back in the game.

Exactly the refs try to even out the calls. It’s not right it’s what they do. Auburn was fouling the hell out of us to have that great of an imbalance.

Officiating on Monday is going to be HUGE - if we have the same refs as yesterday for tomorrow and they let Houston play as physical as they want, it's going to be an enormous advantage for them
