Chin and Handlogten need to guard Broome and rough him up. Condon lacks strength on both ends of the floor.

 

We whipped their bigs when we played them the first time and Auburn came out more focused on a game plan to attack the inside and so far it's worked. It's up to our coach to make the adjustment and our players to execute better. How many wide open shots at the rim did Auburn get in the first half compared to us? A lot. That's the difference in the game. Richard needs to get it going and we simply have to do a better job of blocking out on the boards and double-teaming Broome. Intensity needs to ramp up because they brought it and some of our guys didn't.

I think our guys need some strategic help from Coach Golden during halftime. Hopefully he can come up with a way to defend Broome without giving up a bunch of 3s.

 

As you can see, I don't know a lot of the rules. But there ought to be a rule against what's happening.

But no one is in foul trouble for either team. Three of Auburn's 5 losses came from free throw attempts and makes of other teams- Duke, Tennessee, and Alabama beat them by converting free throws.

When we beat them, we had only a 1-point free throw made advantage. However, we had 5 players with 8 or more points. Right now, we have two (Martin and Clayton). Richard and Haugh are close, but Condon has to pick it up

 

We only have 3 assists, too. That tells you how effective Auburn's defense has been and how ineffective our offense has been. They have taken 6 more shots than us and made 6 more shots than us. We just need to play better if we want to advance.
