Very solid bounceback on the vault. Had to count a 9.825 and still scored 49.500. Ferris, Wong & Harris closed it out extrememly well. .675 lead over Clemson going to the 3rd routine. Need to pad the lead as much as possible going to the last routine to take somke of the pressure off.
Impressive, dominant win tonight. But have to come near duplicating that to finish in the Top 2 in the Regional to advance to the Nationals.

Rumor is Jade is looking to get another year of eligibility. Her father is a coach at Oregon State, and he is allowed to be her personal trainer. I don't think she'd come to UF, but her stepmother has ties with UF. At OSU it's Jade and the 5 dwarfs on each event, a good regional team with likely zero chance at nationals.
The only 198s of regionals so far: Florida 198.225 LSU 198.100 Oklahoma 198.025 The top 16 starts the last round of regionals at 0.00, but I like that order. UF was consistently good on every event and still has room to improve. Skye Blakely didn't join the beam team, so it looks like bars only in 2025. I've got to say, she doesn't look happy with her performance on bars yet. She can do better, see the 9.95 at the SEC tourney 2 weeks ago which should be her norm. I enjoyed watching the sooners fail to hit any of their 6 vaults. I couldn't believe the vault judges scored OU on performance instead of reputation. The judges are still giving .05 OU deductions when they deserve .1 deductions, but not as many which was refreshing to see.
While not normally one to drop a cliche. And from a gymnastics observer, not an ETGator1 level evaluator. Even with last nights great score, this Gator group seems to have more in the tank. Just maybe peaking at the exact right time of the season. Go Gators!
