By attending the LIV golf event at his club from which he personally profits instead of attending the dignified transfer ceremony for the four soldiers who died during a training exercise in Lithuania.

Feel free to spare me any Biden/Obama/Clinton whataboutism. Just pointing out the hypocrisy of Trump and his die hard supporters fake rah rah patriotism. Some good quotes about the respect shown by Lithuania in the second article though.

Trump won't be present today for the dignified transfer of four U.S. soldiers at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware.

Instead, he'll be attending a LIV Golf dinner reception in Florida.

The White House and the Defense Department did not immediately respond to requests for comment on which administration officials might be in attendance.

Lithuania's president held a ceremony honoring the fallen soldiers who drowned in a peat bog after their tactical vehicle went missing about a week ago. Lithuanian, Polish and U.S. soldiers and rescue teams searched through forests and swamps at the Gen. Silvestras Žukauskas training ground in Pabradė, which is about 6 miles west of the country's border with Belarus.

President Gitanas Nausėda and other dignitaries were among those who stood in respect as the hearses carrying the bodies to Vilnius airport in the nation's capital paraded past. They were flown to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware and will be buried this week.

Several of the onlookers were reportedly in tears during the procession. Nausėda said the reaction of the population and the military to the disappearance of the soldiers was rooted in the country's own difficult history.

Honestly, I would not want that mentally defective POS anywhere near a ceremony honoring anyone that I cared about.

Did he even tweet his regrets that he couldn't make it, on account of his 4 day golf holiday?

Friggin' coward couldn't take the tariff heat, so he beat feat to his safe place in Florida.

The explanation is actually simpler. Trump would rather play golf and he's more concerned with approval from the Saudis and the attendees at his million dollar a plate fund raising dinner than he is with either the state of the economy or those Americans who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

what are the odds that this fallen soldier impacted the remark

Trump told slain soldier's widow that he "knew what he was getting into," Congresswoman says - CBS News

President Trump told the widow of one of the soldiers killed in Niger that he "knew what he was getting into," said U.S. Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-Miami), who said she was in the car where the phone call was received.

Myeshia Johnson was on her way to the airport to greet the remains of her husband, Army Sgt. La David Johnson, when she received the call from the commander-in-chief, CBS Miami reports.

"David was a young man from our community who gave his life for our country," Wilson told CBS Miami. "He's a hero. I was in the car when President Trump called. He never said the word hero. He said to the wife, 'Well, I guess he knew what he was getting into.' How insensitive can you be?"

The slain soldier's mother, Cowanda Jones-Johnson, stood by the congresswoman's account.

"President Trump did disrespect my son and my daughter and also me and my husband," she told the Post.
