Very important match, hosting uga who is comparable based on season to date....they are probably slightly better but a winnable match at home. UGA ranked 28, UF 29 Need to start winning these type matches Uga claims the doubles point, no surprise

Edengren almost blew a nice lead but also wins 6-4 Jefferson continues to struggle after a nice start to the year. Was winning at #3, now getting crushed at 5. Jin loses first set 5-7 and already down a break. Not looking good. That doubles point creates a huge hole when the lineup isn't consistent or deep

Jin goes down...2-0 UGA Ganesan wins 2nd set tiebreak and his match Johnson with a very nice straight set win Edengren claws out a 6-4 6-4 win....he's been a big boost of late Jefferson forces a third but loses it 6-3 So we're at 3-3. Freshman Villard loses first set 0-6, down in his second set but fights back for 7-5 win. Currently trails 2-3 in third. The UGA player is also a freshman, so no excuses for inexperience (uga pretty seasoned on upper courts)

Another break for 5-3 lead....one more game for a pretty bigtime comeback. Keep the momentum and finish Villard serving goes up 15-love......loses 3 straight for 15-40, evens it at deuce for match point, loses the match point and is broken. Still leads 5-4, but that one stings
Villard jumps out 40-love.....and this time gets it done. Big and much needed win. UGA and UF both with 4 conference losses now......there are 6 SEC teams clumped in the 3rd-8th spot in the conference, including UF and UGA. UF closes with 2 more in that group, USC and Tenn. Need at least a split....already have a loss to Okla and Miss St in that group and today was the first win. Okla may take a 5th loss today, Miss st likely a 4th loss, USC and Tenn loser today a 4th loss. Texas and TAMU at the top of the league
It was a great win today. A few stood out but overall a great team win was at the courts tonite for four hours. Saturday is senior day against Tennessee. Their lineup consists of four senior portal players as well as their number one who is a graduate student. One Tennessee bred freshman rounds up the lineup.
Vols lost to So Car yesterday so they have 4 conf losses. Miss St is playing well and beat Tamu....both of them beat uf
