It would probably be helpful if somebody in the Trump administration took and understood such a class.

As a point on information Russia is one of the few countries not on Trump's list of those subject to increased tariffs. More winning . . . for Vladimir Putin.

Oh, so you are engaged in avoidance because the reality is making you feel bad. Interesting. How very emotional. And kind of foolish.

Trump boasted about his greatest legislation ever with his New NAFTA. He’s reneging on his treaty within the first 100 days in office.

One of the biggest transfer of wealth. Him and his cronies are making so much money on these trade wars. Us poors will like it.

I am enjoying watching his supporters (radio host, etc) rationalize them. Shows how ignorant and blind they really are. Wished people pushed back at all, that's how you can get good out comes.

He is trying to turn us into North Korea.

Which will totally make every country want to sign new agreements with him. Because he is obviously a trustworthy partner.

Things that would change if we had a functional legislative branch...

No single person should have the authority to tank the global economy. Especially if voters aren't going to vet their selections.

Make no mistake.... history is being made right now.

Significant market events of my investing lifetime:
    The dot com bubble
    The great recession (2008)
    The covid crash
    The trump tariffs

The Dow is now down over 1,500. And, remember, this is after the markets had already priced in a high probability of stupidity. But the Trump administration managed to deliver something so dumb that the markets were shocked.

    Just fyi wgbgator.

    https://www.timesofisrael.com/trump...including-17-us-import-duty-on-israeli-goods/

Israel removed all of their tariffs on US goods late yesterday but the White House hasn't responded yet.

Isn't Hungary still a part of the EU? I don't think EU countries were named individually.

I mean it is 'functioning', part of the CBR passed to avoid the shutdown was giving the president the authority to do just what he did. So I suppose it depends on what you mean by "functional."

I just turned on CNBC, and the quotes from investment banks are scathing.

Paraphrasing, but tarrif formulas and strategies make no sense. With this, they lower the confidence of the whole administration in total.

    Clown show.

It won't work. The US is in a trade war with the entire planet. Meanwhile, other countries are only in a trade war with the US. Other countries will find new markets amongst each other and the US will lose those markets. China will be the main beneficiary, as if they needed any help.
