Maybe Trump’s plan will work. I certainly don’t know. if it doesn’t, it’ll be interesting to see who they blame it on. The media? Biden? Soros?

Just like watching the stock market…I try NOT to react immediately.
I leave that for emotional fools who like to over-celebrate just to be asses.

This assumes there is a plan. To me it just seems like:

    1. Do Tariffs
    2. Yada Yada Yada
    3. Golden age of reindustrialization

Perhaps, but its hard to tell which scenario would make the US government look more foolish, backing down after a few days or sticking with it. These idiots are more afraid of perceived weakness than almost anything else. They could probably convince themselves if its a recession, at least its global and they can benefit? Trying to make sense of madness.

Yeah, they're trying to work around. But, even if it's a Chinese company, it's still being made across the border not across the Pacific, which is the larger point.

DeSantis and Haley. You know exactly what I'm talking about as we've been over this time and time again. The SOB should have been DOA after Jan 6, but you people let the cancer metastasize. . . and probably killed any chance for good R's to win in the future.

Or maybe you get your Christian Fascist state that JD fantasizes about. Guess we'll just have to see.

Well, Greenland can avoid tariffs if it joins the US. Canada too. Those worried about recession and inflation should not. Once unemployment and inflation reach levels high enough, wages will be depressed and US industry can hire back employees at low wages and reboot. Citizens will fill low end jobs immigrants used to take just to have a job. The next move will have be to eliminate the minimum wage. It’s a rosy picture isn’t it?

Unfortunately, I don't think that walk of shame is happening. (And evidence indicates that it never will.) Shame is dead in America. (As is integrity.)

No, I don't think Hoover was intentionally trying to destroy the economy the way MAGA is.

All this by a guy who doesn’t seem to know how tariffs work. Really quite remarkable.
I’m just hoping he doesn’t crush my portfolio to the point that it really hurts. Right now, it’s just a number that could change anytime. At least for me.

To be fair, based on their calculations and continued attempts to defend them, none of them know how tariffs work. Or basic algebra. See, for example, this embarrassment:

carville can still get to the core of the issue. I’ve enjoyed his comments lately. He also called out the Dems for their “jackassery” and why they lose.

“<Trump> figures, ‘I don’t have to get approval from Congress, I don’t need to bring it to the Cabinet, I can just do this, and so the idea that he can just do something on his own unilaterally has great appeal to him.

Carville noted that Trump will likely receive a number of calls from countries looking to be exempt from the tariffs.

“He loves having foreign people call and say, ‘Hey can you exempt … Finnish steel from these tariffs?’” the strategist said. “It’s all just a play. There’s no policy behind it.”

It’s just his ego playing itself out in public, and it’s going to hurt a ton of people that you can’t imagine,” Carville added.”
