Crime statistics seem to be very flexible. If crime is lower, so what? We should quit addressing crime?

And yet, they do. How many legal residencies in this country have been canceled in the last month and a half? I think we are approaching 1 million. How many times did Republicans support cutting quotas for the legal immigration of productive immigrants? Quite a few.

    Here's the post you made:
"Couldn't read it but I'm sure they do want to tighten down on immigration. Security is a big concern to conservatives."
You brought up security as a Conservative concern in this immigration thread. I correctly pointed out that crime stats have been trending down for years and asked what the concerns were based upon. What are the security concerns?

You're confused about conservative security concerns? Well, shootings, robberies, car jackings, drugs, home invasions, rioting, looting.....is that enough to give you an idea?

This is the problem with policing, isnt it? Crime goes down, police budget doesn't, probably goes up more - good job guys its working! Crime goes up with their enormous budgets ... here's more money, lets try harder next time with the bigger resources! Along with the military, its the one government program everyone is content to throw more money at no matter the results.

I don't disagree. It's the bureaucratic way. Government will waste the living hell out of our money. They will throw money at everything as a 'fix'.....criminal justice, education, military, etc....

Obviously, you don't like Musk but you have to appreciate what he's trying to do even though you would do it differently.

The point with violent crime rates being lower is there is no correlation between the number of undocumented immigrants here and crime rate. If anything, the data shows the more immigrants, the lower the crime! But with no correlation that more immigrants equal more violent crime, there can be no causation. Sure, we can do better with crime rates until they hit zero. But immigrants shouldn't be the scapegoat.

Totally. Just like with that dermatologist who cut your kid's head off with a samurai sword while removing a wart; you have to appreciate what he was trying to do even though you would do it differently.

Either that or they're both clueless *****g dipchits. One of whom only having done what he did in order to grift and leech off the government himself.

Also; imagine believing that .... get this ...... ready ....... Elon Musk!!!! ........ is involved in the government in any way to .... :):):) ..... help people!!! .... :):) .... or ....... make it better!!! :):):):):)

Just imagine believing that. I mean .... he cares so much that he spent $280 million in order to help people!!! Am i right?! :):)

Every single illegal immigrant is committing a crime. If you have 10 illegal immigrants in a room, you have 10 criminals. There are no illegal immigrants who are not committing a crime.

Well since those listed crime rates are either down or not associated with immigration, you seem to be quite confused as to the Conservative fears. Is this simply a made-up Con boogieman to justify mass deportations? You didn't fall for dog and cat boogieman as well did you?

This is a really simple concept. It’s hard to believe some folks simply do not get it.

Many of the "illegal" immigrants aren't illegal at all. They are undocumented. And if they have entered and legally requested asylum, they are here legally. Yet, you and others would put them into an "illegal" bucket.

Also, overstaying a visa and entering illegally aren't criminal offenses. They are civil, misdemeanor offenses. Technically, they aren't criminals, face no criminal charges, and no potential criminal punishment. Only punishments are deportations and potential re-entry bans.

So no, if you have 10 people you consider "illegal immigrants" in a room, there are some who may be here temporarily legally, and none have committed a crime, just potentially a civil offense similar to a speeding ticket for going 10 mph over the limit.

Strawman alert. I can state every criminal in a courtroom is guilty every time and be correct by the same logic . Of course by stating they are criminals... they've been proven guilty at some point in some courtroom therefore I'm correct.
