Why did Kylee not play this season for The Gators.

 

she graduated a year early just to get into our training program so she can be physically ready next year..already has gained like 20 lbs and her and Oneal both grew around 2 inches. She wasnt getting tested until the playoffs in HS ball and it was a waste of time for her to play it.

 

Liv is the real deal. A firey competitor with the skills to match. Based on my watching we have good athletes
but the aforementioned poor shooting. It often seems like we don't have a plan or play well as a team.
Obviously we hear little about practices, but perhaps coach needs to change some of her smiling and back
patting for a more in your face style!
All in all we went further than predicted and coach Finley was a winner today.

 

It was a nice post season run!good for us fans and good for the girls to have that extra time together . Honesrlt I think we have some difference makers coming in next year, Kylee for one and the Canadian girl is good (and physical).

What are the odds we lose "returnees" to the portal?

 

You know people are going to throw money at some girls. We absolutely must keep McGill, Reynolds, O'Neal, and Kitts... $$$ That's a very nice core, but we definitely need some help in the portal.

 

Nice run to end the season, but a disappointing year overall. Hope they can keep the stars that they have, add some quality players to the mix and have a better season next time out. I want KRF to succeed and not have the university go through another coaching change.

With returning players Liv, Meorah, and Laila ( 3 former McDonalds All Americans), what will be crucial is what players they gain from the transfer portal, IF Coach will go that route.

 

The additions they make in the portal is CRUCIAL, the starters are talented enough.

 

I was told that Rashaya Kyle will be returning, she as another year, can someone verify this ?

 

I would be stunned. I don't know how she could have any eligibility remaining? You never know with today's rules, but I don't see that as feasible.

 

I have heard she has applied but I cant see her returning, but she did get injured so crazier things have happened.

 

There is almost 0% chance that nobody goes into the portal in today’s climate… I would say expect more than one.

if Kyle came back that would be wild. I would welcome it. Her and McGill have a great connection. I don’t believe she has eligibility without a petition to the ncaa. We have a lot of quality big talent coming in and what we really need is a couple of shooters. We seriously lack that

I also really need to see a jump from Laila…she has been fine just underwhelming. I need to see some change there over the summer. Portal is crazy right now..literally insane with most of IU going in, miles from ND, Latson from FSU, smith from LSU…I could go on forever

kids in good situations are leaving not realizing that every program is different. We may get a commitment from a good kid who has been in a toxic program who will know a good thing when they see it and help up build.

not super impressed with Gardners managing the game, expected more after her successful mid major tenure.

 

I know you are usually the with Gator WBB insight, I'm guessing but I would be surprise if coach Kelly Rae don't pursue any portal players. Maybe too early to say, but at least 3 replacements/transfers ?

 

I was told of one who they thought were going in..if it is more then 1 then we need a pretty big portal class to have a working roster
I agree on Laila, she is wildly inconsistent, no one can really stay in front of her, she misses more shots at the basket then anyone I have seen in years. She could be a 18 to 20 pt a game scorer if she was just able to finish. She does not need to run the point anymore either, well until she gets her game under control.
My thing about the portal is no matter who I ask or even what site I got to you never see anything about UF..hope we can get at least 3 now after you say we might have 2 going in.
Crazy how many women I see who I think have it made going in..
But I know about Latson just like the mens team the womens team is not getting the funds through NIL they promised..Smith from LSU has had her run ins with Mulkey, but who hasnt there. Mulkey is very volatile.

We need someone to pop in the portal for us soon to get some momentum going..My friends at Clemson have taken advantage of not being in any tourney the last week or so and getting some good mid level talent.
