As far as I'm concerned he should be at the top of the list for the 2028 Democratic presidential nomination. His speech (currently ongoing) is one of the best political speeches have heard. Link below:

Isn’t he the guy who just had an aide try to sneak an unlicensed firearm into the Capitol?

Probably needed to greet all the patriotic cop beaters that were all absolved by King Trump for the next attack, err, I mean peaceful yet violent protests against our good republic and all those Americans who think/vote against MAGA.

I've searched all over CNN, MSNBC & NY Times with no mention of this incident......Imagine if it were the staffer of a republican.

he wrapped it up. Final seconds. He gets quite the ovation (set a new record). It’s not a “filibuster” as there isn’t a bill under discussion.

Well, if I didn’t care about the excuses those scumbags made to justify their lawlessness, then I can’t imagine caring about this guy’s excuses either.

Are you being a victim of that bad, bad ole media again?

Also; I found almost every online site that exists seems to be covering this.

This was almost certainly the greatest 25 hour long speech defending illegal immigration in history.

Nailing themselves to the cross is one of MAGA's favorite pastimes. The ultimate victim culture.

Having criminal associates seems to be a prerequisite for the American presidency. And the guy was a cop, so I assume he is used to the law not applying to him.

I don't think you can blame Booker for what one of his staffers did. Unless there is evidence to the contrary the responsibility for the stunt lies entirely with the staffer. I would also add that the staffer was a retired law enforcement officer and that he voluntarily told the Capitol Police at the checkpoint that he was carrying the weapon. He wasn't trying to sneak it past them.
“Yesterday afternoon a Member of Congress led an IDed staff member around security screening at the Hart Senate Office Building. Later that evening, outside the Senate Galleries, the IDed staff member — who is a retired law enforcement officer — told our officers he was armed,” a rep for US Capitol Police said in a statement Tuesday.

Absolutely did not mean to imply blame for the actions of a subordinate. It was just a coincidence that hit the news the same time as the Senator was conducting his 24-hour philippic against Trump. I will say this, though, how he holds his subordinate accountable (or not) will certainly tell us what kind of leader he is. If he just makes excuses for him, then we will know he is just another “for my friends, anything; for my enemies, the law” kind of politician he spent the day railing about. And that’s fine. It’s the hypocrisy I’ve come to expect of all politicians, regardless of party.
