Fact: the Trump admin has never proved any of these alleged facts and their own lawyers admit they made an error in deporting him.

The man was accused of being a MS-13 Gang member in 2019 by a Confidential Informant. But there was no trial, and no conviction. In fact, in 2019, he was granted protected immigrant status because he was quite outspoken about being anti-gang activity, and the judge ruled it would be dangerous to deport him back to his home country.

What is most likely the truth is the CI was told to rat on the guy to try and get him deported, where MS-13 could permanently silence him. What is not the truth is the man is a convicted gang member, nor is it likely he is a current MS-13 gang member, as the Trump admin as even admitted their mistake in deporting him.

But he's brown, and likely has a tattoo. So in the eyes of MAGA, he's a gang member, no doubt.

It is interesting how all this proof isn't included in the court filings, where claims like this open them up to sanctions, but is only found in forums where there is no punishment for lying.

Exactly. Leavitt is free to lie as much as she wants from the podium and Vance can lie as much as he wants on X without repercussions because their supporters have demonstrated time and again that the truth doesn't matter to them.

On the other hand, their lawyers can't lie to the court without facing personal consequences. That's why the admin doesn't want any due process in the courts and would rather litigate their deportations in the media because all they have to do is say someone is in a gang.

51, how exactly is she 'debunking' it other than simply saying it's not true?

They deported him despite a court order. This was not a mistake in any way. They have access to his immigration record— that’s how they found him to target him for deportation. And that order is part of that record. This wasn’t a mistake.

The Atlantic is a pretty reputable news outlet and Karoline Leavitt can’t go a day without telling multiple lies on behalf of her Orange Cheeto overlord, but I know the right has to hate The Atlantic now because their drunk secretary of defense accidentally added one of their reporters into a chat that contained attack plans that compromised our service men and women and somehow it’s the reporters fault. Lmao.

I hope the "Maryland father" spends some time in prison in El Salvador. He should never be allowed back into the US. Probably an MS-13 gang member. Entered the US illegally in 2011 or thereabouts.

In the non MAGA world, we don't rely on skin color, place of birth, and existence of tattoos to determine gang affiliation. We rely on evidence.

And the evidence does not suggest any gang affiliation. No criminal record, either here nor El Salvador. There was an allegation of MI-13 affiliation at his asylum hearing, but the judge not only found the confidential informant's accusation credible. In fact, with a history of anti-gang rhetoric, the judge found sending him back to El Salvador would constitute a threat to his life and granted him protected status in this country!

Since he's arrived in the US, he's married a US citizen, and is the father of a citizen, disabled child. He's also held down a blue collar job for years. And even the Trump administration has admitted error.

Not the life you would expect for a MI-13 Gang leader, is it? But he does have brown skin and probably tattoos; so in MAGA world, guilty of being a gang member!

Most here are perfectly fine with criminals being deported, but the Admin has to be better. Oops is not good enough. This just haste in the effort to circumvent procedural barriers. Not a good look. Check your work. With the IG’s fired, hard to know if a future Congress has the ability to get the details.

You're right, if the "Maryland father" was an MS-23 Zhang member sending him back to El Salvador might threaten his life. Abreho Garcia thought the 18th S5 gang might kill him. 18th St and MS-13 are mortal enemies. Most of the 18th St gang is now in jail, meaning El Salvador is safer now. When Was breho Garcia was picked up at a Home Depot he was wearing Chicago Bulls clothes (MS-13 is gone of the horns). Abrego Garcia had a criminal record because he entered the US illegally as I understand it. He had some traffic violations that he did not show up in court for. Stephen Miller slleged he was involved in trafficking. Deport

He entered seeking asylum. That is a LEGAL way to enter. Entering without documentation is also a civil misdemeanor violation, not criminal. He had no criminal record.

And the CI claimed her was an MI-13 Gang leader. Now, he's a member of a different gang and MI-13 wanted to kill him? Get your story straight!

We must be better. Even the Trump admin has admitted a mistake. Due process is important. This father had legal, protected status. If are to deport him, we should have actual evidence asks allow him to gave his accusers.

Western style democracies usually adhere to "Blackstone's ratio," where it is better for 10 guilty men to go free rather than 1 innocent person be punished. It's why we have due process and a system where in a jury trial, the government must convince up to 12 jury persons of the defendant's peers beyond a reasonable doubt the defendant is guilty. In Fascist governments, punishing innocents in the name of safety and security is acceptable.

Here are the biographies of 5 detainees accused of being gang members, including the father from Maryland. They were all denied due process, and sent away, despite never having the chance to defend themselves. Worse yet, the evidence the state is presenting is little more than brown skin plus tattoos, or brown skin plus wearing the wrong sports jersey!

Based on his rating apparently someone thinks that the intentional misidentifying of migrants as gang members and deporting them without due process is "funny". Who would have thought?

Has nothing to do with the man deported in violation of a court order. Might see well arrest and lock up all US citizens because some citizens commit murder and they can’t do it from jail. Tagging all immigrants as criminals is racist— just like the Judge ruled in the Venezuelan TPS case. Since I know you didn’t intend that, you should re-think your comparison.
