And we are already “allowed” a military base there from NATO, so the strategic aspect for the military is obvious. Now, in addition to Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway, the Swiss are playing some key role none of us were aware of. I’m curious what a Swiss “blink” looks like and how it has any effect on the current issue.
So the US now needs Greenland, the Panama Canal, Canada, rename the Gulf, etc. Tariff everything. Trump speaks of how America has been ripped off by other countries for decades. So why didn’t he do any of this stuff during his first term? If needs fixing now didn’t it need fixing then? Or did someone tell Trump that these actions would piss off lots of voters and make him unelectable for a second term and now he feels the gloves are off?
