Hope Condon’s ankle can get him through one more game. But, should Haugh step in to start with Condon coming off bench? When Haugh did start he put up great numbers. It will be interesting to see what Golden does.
I love Haugh's energy off the bench, so if Condon is going to play, start him. I would have liked Sam to have received some actual real minutes last night, it would be good going forward for the others to remember how to play with him.
If Condon's ankle swells up like a balloon today, I don't see how he starts. It will all depend on what happens with the ankle and the treatment Condon responds or does not respond to. In a worst case, it's time to practice Sam Alexis back into the rotation today and to start Haugh. In the mid case, have Condon warmed up and ready to go starting Haugh. Haugh started when Condon went out the first time. In the best case, no changes. I just don't know how we'll find out until tomorrow. It isn't likely that CTG will announce until closer to game time. The x-rays must have been negative otherwise Condon wouldn't have returned in the 2nd half, so we have that going for us this morning.
Say it's an average ankle sprain, can you tape this shit out of it and get 20 minutes tomorrow and rest next week?
I am still agog at Condon's laying-on-his-back attempt that Tommy (EDIT: Micha H) finished for him. That will, or should, be posterized!
Impossible to answer, IMO. Ankle rolls are so hard to predict in my vast experience with them. Sometime you think you're done and your fine. Sometimes you think it's nothing and it's screwed for weeks. That's my experience. I'm sure we'll have a clear picture at tip off tomorrow.
This question is moot, however. We all know that Anderson is getting the start and is going 13/8/3 in 18 minutes.
Are you referring to Bennett Andersen or Christian Anderson? Screw it. Put Bennett on Christian and see what happens. Would drive the announcers crazy.
It always seemed to me that guys who sprained ankles frequently recovered faster than guys who had first time sprains. Not sure if or how that applies to Condon.
Once you sprain an ankle its more likely to happen again. Hopefully Condon will thoroughly rehab it in the off-season.
Condo played through injury tonight. He wasn't at his best but contributed to the win. Haugh was friggin' awesome.
