Hey Chris, if Coach Golden doesnt use atleast 1 timeout the first half next game can you ask why? Is he lost in the moment seems like every tournament game so far...Not that its a big deal but id like to understand why not take atleast one to stop a run, rest or set up a play especially headed towards half. Thanks.
It seems like golden wants to keep the gas on constantly…don’t think he wants the other team to rest. 40 minutes of hell.
Chris, you are a gifted writer. That’s a rarity in journalism these days. It’s become a habit to check for your stories during this incredible run. Go Gators!
This has really become an issue for many, especially on Twitter, and I confess I don’t quite get it. There aren’t a ton of adjustments defensively that you can’t just make on the fly when you are defending on that end of the court. If it were baseline out, maybe I could see dialing up something specific, but that doesn’t happen with that much frequency. And we would far rather push after a made basket than bring the ball up against a set defense after a timeout and run a set play. Also, we rotate enough, especially in the first half, that there are plenty of opportunities to settle a kid down or talk to him about something specific.
