Never in doubt! Win on Friday night and no losses on Saturday or Sunday, definitely headed in the right direction. Go GATORS! ,WESGATORS
Gators finally obey the first rule of holes and stop digging. 25-25 in the aggregate on the road against a team that might well be a regional host. Luck didn't go our boys' way and they end up losing 2/3. If it weren't for the omnishambles of the first two weeks, this series would only be mildly disappointing.
Kudos to the hitters putting up 11 runs and a 5 spot in the 9th to finally get a sec win. 25 runs in the 3 games should be enough to win a series not just win one tho. Pitchers still have a long way to go but hopefully this is a start.
I appreciate the team continuing to grind while going through one of the crappiest stretches of the Sully era. I think we have some guys who can pitch, they just need to get some confidence back and keep learning and improving.
GREAT way to leave from Oxford. Hopefully the start of a good run. What happened to Lawson?....... Injury or just a game break? Thanks. GO GATORS!!!!
Sully sez: Put some good at bats together there in the 9th everyone was frustrated Best weekend for Heyman 3 Hrs All those 9th inning walks in the 1st game should have been able to close it out Yost swung a really good bat Go back home and try to get to .500
Props here to Luke Heyman. I checked the team in conference stats and Heyman currently leads the team in AVG, OPS, Runs, Hits, Doubles, Triples, HRs, RBIs, Total Bases, Slugging %, and OB%. If he keeps this up, he might be what we need in a team leader.
Hoping we can be like the Arkansas basketball team and start playing like we are capable of playing, after a crappy start.
Really? The basketball team has a chance to go to the final 4. Gator baseball if they win every remaining SEC series 2 out of 3 (which I don’t see happening) will at best be 15-15 in the league. Good that they won, but baseball clearly has some major issues this season when it comes to the fundamentals of baseball. Throwing consistent strikes and having consistent quality at bats.
