Just now seeing Menendez done for the year. Does everyone else have as many pitchers get season ending surgery as we do? As rough as out pitching is, that really hurts to lose him too.
Is that an umpire thing that carries over to the next game automatically? I thought those things were decided by league office after weekend.
Top of the 5th New Earl is #17 Jr RHP McCausland (6.89, 1-0, 9.1 IP) Ks/B/Ks/B/Ks - Nadeau goes down swinging
Who else have we lost besides Menendez? Coppola is a few weeks. We have mid major portal transfers at top of lineup that do not hit. I agree pitching is concerning but hitting disappointing also.
Bottom of the 5th Philpott sits and #33 Fr LHP Biemiller comes in (6.43, 0-0, 7.0 IP) B/Kc/Kc/B - Humphrey pops out to C
I think 2 is more than our fair share. Might not be real but it just feels like every season we have a young promising pitcher get season ending surgery. Atleast every other year which then means we really don't have them the following year either
Copp not gone for the year. We should be able to sustain a bullpen guy and a starter for a few weeks.
