The Boss called to tell me he is at home and to tell everyone here on Gator Country he will try to come online tomorrow (Saturday) or Sunday and post. He really appreciates everyone's thoughts and prayers! I thought I'd post in both Swamp Gas and NBN so more folks see.
He had old friends visiting all weekend and was tied up with them so he didn't get a chance to come online.
To all well wishers..Dave came home to hospice care. He has discontinued his kidney procedures. He is tired and has fought through a lot the last year and more. Say your goodbyes to a good guy while he is still with us. Love you Dave
I was asked to be a mod about a decade ago and David was one of the guys who asked me. I've been here for 20 years and he has always been an important part of all we do. His faith, family and the Gators are all very important to him. We love you David and are praying for Gods hand to be on you.
I read the thread title differently. Don't know David, but as a person who has enjoyed the forum(s) since the late 90s, I know that the dude is a mainstay and largely responsible for our enjoyment here. We all get a certain # of trips around the sun before going home. I extend every best wish to David, his family, and his extended GC family. If his legacy here is any indicator, he is a great person who has had a lasting impact on so many.
I couldn’t say it any better than my friend, @gatordavisl. I also do not know Growl, as I rarely venture beyond the basketball forums. Still, I recognize his name as a mainstay. I am sorry to hear of his failing health, and wish him and his family peace and comfort.
