Not really. The rule is that a defensive player can't be in the way of a shooter when they come to the floor after a jump shot. The call can't be made until the shooter comes down and can't land on the floor without hitting the defender. That was a clear foul.

 

"Their guy" is shooting 27% from 3 for the year. So...yeh, a deep try from him was the right analytical choice for us.

Our 4 bigs average 29 points a game combined and have 4 at half time total. UCONNN IS NOT THAT GOOD. There season stats reveal that. We have to play our game and not theirs.

 

I’m going to learn a lot about our coach and half time adjustments very shortly

 

And it is a horrible rule because it had zero impact on the outcome of the shot which is why free throws are awarded on foul shots. They should change the rule.

 

I’ve been a Gator fan since the late 80’s and a UConn fan since the arrival of Jim Calhoun.

I hate watching 2 of my favorite teams battle it out.

Florida has to run to win. UConn is so disciplined in the half court game, both offensively and defensively. They are physical and aggressive. The Gators have to spread the court, maybe utilize full court press to try to wear the Huskies down due to their lack of depth.

UConn needs to keep the game a half court struggle like the first half to win. If they do that, and hit 40% of their 3-point attempts, it could be bad outcome for Florida.

Great game so far between two great programs and coaching staffs.

 

If we turn it over a couple times right away this thing is gonna get away from us. First four minutes huge here.

 

Despite our 9 TO's they only scored 2 points off them.

 

Gator teams like this don’t come along every season. Come on! Go Gators!

 

Condon needs to work on his low post offense in the offseason. He has a guy who is 6’8” who is not athletic and he’s given us nothing.
