So because Elon Musk is the devil to liberals. He sells his electric vehicle in favor of a gas guzzling Chevy SUV. Just months ago, liberals were mandating purchasing EVs over gas guzzling vehicles. Follow the science they said!!! He couldn’t purchase another EV? Or a more fuel efficient vehicle? Ohh the hypocrisy of the liberals. Liberals are the party of do what I say, don’t do as I do.
Yepper .... just a few months ago, EVs were going to "save the earth"! Now .... they're being ditched by the wokerati for ICE vehicles?? Yikes!!!
EV sales are way up. Just not Teslas Electric Vehicle Sales Jump Higher in Q4, Pushing U.S. Sales to a Record 1.3 Million - Cox Automotive Inc.
Hypocrisy would be driving around the product of a far-right nut who pushes crazy conspiracies like Hiter didnt kill Jews, bureaucrats did.
Performative politics. The OP got one right for once. But OP gets a D- for not calling out the performative behavior on his team.
He could have bought a competing EV to show leadership on this issue (or if you prefer: “virtue signaling” political points). It’s curious he didn’t as there are several solid options including domestic trucks and SUV (not surprising a politician went with a ‘Murican brand, which does somewhat limit the choices), but it isn’t necessarily even hypocrisy unless he voted for EV mandates or something a bit extreme. This guy isn’t AOC. I’d call it slight bit of political malfeasance for him to make a show of trading in the Tesla, then buy a gas guzzler that Tesla doesn’t really compete with.
Giving money to a company who's CEO is gutting the EPA and environmental regulations doesnt seem like 'choosing the environment' to me
The post doesn’t match the title. Senator Kelly didn’t say he wanted to pollute the environment, he just doesn’t like a foreigner dismantling the United States government. Trump and MAGA republicans seem to be okay with it though.
Could this be an opportunity for Musk to lead the right into accepting climate change as real? Is he even talking about the issue these days though? Personally, the range on the EVs will have to get better before I consider one.
Since you're apparently concerned about the effect of a single vehicle on the environment what's your opinion of a president who wants to roll back incentives for the use of renewables to generate electricity, is fanatically opposed to EVs, has ordered his EPA and DOJ to drop lawsuits and other actions against industrial polluters and is has been rolling back regulations limiting pollution since he took office?
