Oh wait!! You've explained this!!! If someone has opinions on policy we like -such as that yes, we should reduce the price of food by increasing drilling for oil- then it's OK if that person attacked the United States.

We are disappointed because the country would be 100 times better off with her as president, but at the end of the day, I’ll be fine through the Trump presidency. It’s not me I’m worried about, but then again, I have empathy for others and the struggles they’re going to face. By the way, only one side treats politics like a sporting event, and it’s not the left. Why are Trumpers still so angry? You all won.

But recognizing which positions resonate with voters doesn't make those positions wrong. (Or right.)

In this case, it just means voters are swayed by a non-issue that the former party of small government has conned voters into thinking greatly affects their lives.. ..... and ought to be handled by organizations, states, or local regulators.
