Whenever I read Lunardi or the other ESPN columnists insisting that Bama and UT can still overtake UF in Nashville for a 1 seed, I remind myself that ESPN has a direct business interest in a compelling SEC Tournament.
In the next breath Lunardi will tell you the committee already has the bracket filled out on Friday night.
It could be argued that the black cloud on TG early in the season may have had an impact. Guilty until proven innocent is standard operating procedure in this social media age.
Clearly, all media will have ways they prefer to frame issues, but if either of those teams beat Florida and Auburn this week, I would truly think they deserve consideration for that #1 seed.
I felt like Tennessee's chance went away when they lost to ole miss right after beating Bama. Then again I also thought Bama's chances were gone when they lost at home to UF. I was not expecting them to beat Auburn on the road. Now after that win, Bama has a crowd thinking they are back on the 1 line. Nothing would really surprise me at this point.
I will be working the tournament for the Nashville Sports Council, volunteers. Always a good time. Last year I was jiving with Kentucky, Tenn, Auburn and Arkansas fans. We kept knocking everyone out, until Micah broke his leg. It was hard to watch Broome and friends act like it was easy money. Well we are back, ready to rumble!
Not trying to make any predictions but it sure would be sweet if we face Auburn again in the SECTCG and our team feels they have a score to settle for Handlogten's sake.
Earlier in the year yes. Right now they said we could buy first game tickets at $10. These are the bottom players. We have been there before but not this year, we have a two day buy. We can get booklets for the tournament, last year $440 for the tournament. Out of State fans buy them up then sell individual tickets if they don’t want to stay. mainly Kentucky fans, lol. Call the Bridgestone Arena for booklets remaining, or come in town and buy out in the.Plaza in front of the Arena. Second round tickets maybe 50 to sixty dollars, third day tickets $100 and up, fourthday tickets about the same, Championship tickets 200 and up, unless not a selloutout, has been what I have seen.
in this age of electronic tickets, do they still sell paper tickets that you can easily buy and sell?
I wish. The fees that stub hub and all the other sites charge are criminal. I think my GA tickets this year were $22 each, plus $17 in fees EACH!
Fan2fantix has no fees, but limited selection and feels like you could be easily scammed as the ticket owner has to manually transfer the tix after you pay. I have had good luck with it, but probably wouldn’t do it same day as the game. Fb can be hit or miss too, but probably even higher scam risk.
That’s what I’m wondering. For the SEC tournament they used to have physical ticket books for each session. If they don’t have those anymore I’m not sure what to do besides buying from the online expensive brokers.
Going to go with a Bacon Bits win on the first one. Vandy in Game 2. Toss up on Game 3. And the Dawgs in Game 4.
