Decisions ... "made by an unauthorized person" .... is the reason the autopen methodology was employed. Does anyone sincerely think poor ol' Joe understood what EOs were issued and pardons were granted?

And if he didn’t? Who was running the country?

Laws passed by Congress don’t bother me so much. However the pardons given some had no right to be pardoned and Executive Orders, especially the student loans, are troublesome.

The first part of the sentence sounds like a description of the current POTUS with the second part of the sentence referring to the co-President.

a prime example of some who had not right to be pardoned include those convicted of violently attacking law enforcement officers on Januart6, 2021 and the leaders of organizations responsible for the January 6 assault on the Capitol and let's not forget the pardon of an online drug dealer responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars in the sale of illicit drugs.
Trump pardons Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht for online drug scheme
Trump pardons Silk Road creator Ross Ulbricht
Ulbricht was found guilty of charges including conspiracy to commit drug trafficking, money laundering and computer hacking. During his trial, prosecutors said Ulbricht's website, hosted on the hidden "dark web", sold more than $200m (£131m) worth of drugs anonymously.

Prosecutors said he also solicited six murders-for-hire, including one against a former Silk Road employee, though they said no evidence existed that any killings were actually carried out.

Those examples are far worse than pardoning a guy convicted of a crimes that is seldom prosecuted specifically tax evasion following the repayment of all back taxes plus interest and penalties or is virtually never prosecuted as a standalone crime specifically lying on a firearms about drug addiction.

I hear you, but I think Maga would be down with that: it would destroy even more of the administrative state. Kleptocracy wins!

Yep, they should impeach Biden. Let's make sure he never runs for office again.

“So, Mr. Biden, were all those documents signed with your full knowledge and approval?”

    “Yes.”

    and then what?

Meanwhile the stock market is crashing, we’re losing the trade war, the cost of food keeps going up, and we’re no longer the leader of the free world, but let’s make this a priority.

Well, thank goodness we have fact checkers to settle things like this. I’m sure they’ll be able to set the record straight on this in no time.

this may turn out to be a nothing burger, but the fact that this was used predominantly during his presidency suggests otherwise, especial when some things were signed in the WH while he away. I am not surprised you libs want to poo poo it.

I can say this. In regular business, it is common to allow someone to sign a document on your behalf. However, I always make sure there is a written confirmation ie text or email. I would love to see some type of written confirmation that allowes White House staff to sign on his behalf when he was "on the beach or sleeping."
