You want a truth? The rest of the country doesn’t care about this as an issue. All our allies are abandoning us, people’s 401’s are crashing, unemployment is on the rise, and everything is getting more expensive, and this is what you guys still want to debate? This isn’t an issue, it’s a distraction from the sad state MAGA has put our country in.

 

I already explained it's a solution looking for a problem. If a sport's rules specify the details as to how athletes are eligible then they should be allowed to compete under the rules. As you saw from the Olympics it's not always perfectly clear and easy but those situations are handled by the governing body not the UN or the US government. It's a tiny population that sporting governing bodies can handle. A law is going to be totally non-specific and fairly useless.

 

You and your party have not taken a common sense stance on this issue.

You generally put zero effort into your posting so you wont do it but you cannot search and find any comment Ive ever made about this issue other than sport bodies should regulate fairness and safety. That is common sense. Passing laws to regulate little league or volleyball isnt common sense, and it isnt conservative.

 

I try not to debate bad faith posters.
I enjoy a few Democrat posters in here and it’s easy to learn new things from them.
The rest are like you…it is a waste of time arguing with people who just want to win arguments.

Right or wrong this issue moves the needle with some swing voters. It doesn’t take many to move elections. Until Democrats can demonstrably differentiate themselves from the fringes on this issue it is a noose around their necks.

 

Riley Gaines, the transphobe who the right has made a martyr out of, finished tied for 5th in her race with said trans woman and lost to four other biological women who finished ahead of both her and the trans athlete, lol. This is very, very low on the scale of things people actually care about, and affects an extremely minute portion of the population. Nobody is going to care that you banned 10 trans athletes from competing 4 years later if you let the economy completely tank and go to crap, which is what most people actually care about.

 

Never mind the fact that it only takes one of these trans athletes to make a complete farce out of the record books for women, setting marks that no real woman can ever hope to break. At the level at which most of us watch (world class competition), nobody wants to see a guy put on a dress and shatter the 10 second barrier in the 100 meters for women. Yet that is exactly what is going to happen if it isn't stopped now. It's wrong. And if you don't think it's a big deal, you are wrong.

 

I don’t think Gavin Newsome is transphobe and I actually agree with him, although again, it’s such a tiny portion of the population it’s ultimately not something that is going to swing an election or is that big an issue with most voters. My issue is with Gaines, who finished in 5th place behind four cisgender women, so either way, she wasn’t good enough and was just looking for something or someone to blame for her failures. Riley Gaines is just a Karen seeking attention who has become a lightning rod of hate for the right since becoming “famous.” Don’t believe me? She’s a regular on Clay Travis’ right wing grift known as Outkick which spews nothing but all kinds of LGBTQ+ hate and fellates Donald Trump on a daily basis.

 

Interesting how something can be a "big deal" to some, and a "local" or "regulatory body" (such as NCAA) issue to others.

But then again, we have to bear in mind what's NOT a big deal to some of these people -literally attacking America- and give respect accordingly.
