Cancer survivor's Dad tells Maddow to shut up

Yeah, I'm sure it's exclusively one and not the other.

 

Restating a previous post. While conceding that Maddow's comments as well as the refusal of the majority of Democrats to stand when D.J. Daniel was introduced were inappropriate, the Democrats can still flip the script by pointing out that DJ's survival was most likely at least partially attributable to the type of federally funded research by the NIH or through the NIH grants that Trump and Musk are cutting.

 

That's the hypocrisy of honoring this heroic kid and his dad, the cuts are directly affecting researchers, facilities, doctors and other health care providers that are responsible for his care.

It's like Trump has this talent for deflecting away from his actions by touting the people he is crewing over.

 

I’d like to explore the boy’s present condition from another angle. He seems abnormally small and frail for a boy his age. Was he cured ?

 

How would anyone on this board know?

 

Just throwing out. Seems the supposition is Trump cuts would hinder the sort of research that “cured” the little guy.

 

Well, there is a possibility that in the future grants for meaningful research will again be made.

 

Over a half trillion (possibly much more) and over a half-century trying to find a cure.

There is also older video of him saying “I have nothing to do with that” about the Samoa measles outbreak that killed 83, after he had been visiting Samoa leadership and pushing antivax propaganda. He also lied and said autopsies proved they didn’t die of measles, while Samoa says no autopsies were performed because measles is obvious to diagnosis ….

This is what have making decisions in national healthcare, now. I’d just ignore any advice or rule he makes, get what you can from Canada if you have to.
