Trump had to “remind” his cabinet who was in charge.

Trump Puts New Limits On Elon

President Donald Trump convened his Cabinet in person on Thursday to deliver a message: You’re in charge of your departments, not Elon Musk.

According to two administration officials, Trump told top members of his administration that Musk was empowered to make recommendations to the departments but not to issue unilateral decisions on staffing and policy.

The president’s message represents the first significant move to narrow Musk’s mandate. According to Trump’s new guidance, DOGE and its staff should play an advisory role — but Cabinet secretaries should make final decisions on personnel, policy and the pacing of implementation.

What a shit show… what a bunch of cowards.

Rubio and Trump Officials Clash With Elon Musk in an Explosive Meeting

Mr. Musk was unimpressed. He told Mr. Rubio he was “good on TV,” with the clear subtext being that he was not good for much else. Throughout all of this, the president sat back in his chair, arms folded, as if he were watching a tennis match.

Most cabinet members did not join the fray. Mr. Musk’s anger directed at Mr. Rubio in particular seemed to catch people in the room by surprise, one person with knowledge of the meeting said. Another person said Mr. Musk’s caustic responses to Mr. Duffy and Mr. Rubio seemed to deter other cabinet members, many of whom have privately complained about the Musk team, from speaking.

Why doesn't someone just get up and choke-slam that walking vagina musk? Oh wait, because Trump gave him blackmail access to the financials of every single American to spew out onto Twitter as he sees fit. Never mind.

I know I read on here that all of Trump's cabinet picks were just yes men or women for the President but now we see there is disagreement. How does that happen if they are just yes men?

Do you see any of them arguing with Trump in that exchange? No, just Musk.

I still think that when push comes to shove and a cabinet secretary or an agency head resists a Musk DOGE edict Trump will end up siding with his co-President despite Trump's recent statement to the effect that the determination of the cabinet secretary is final.

It is not really that hard to see this logically. If two of them disagree, one of them is obviously not in agreement with Trump. So they are not just "yes men".

    • All cabinet members slunk into their seats
    • Duffy is trying to avoid being blamed for killing more passengers.
    • Rubio, to his credit, balls out is ignoring Musk, handling reductions his own way and getting ridiculed for it. Doesn’t seem to bother him yet.
It’s a cabinet of cowards and yes men except for Rubio who is picking a few battles.

Trump's underlings disagree with each other all the time. They're like a bunch of mafia capos backstabbing each other. But they rarely have the courage to disagree with Trump himself.

Rubio finally growing a little bit of a spine? Hope to see more of it from not just him and Duffy, but the others on the cabinet.

You have fired “nobody,” Mr. Musk told Mr. Rubio, then scornfully added that perhaps the only person he had fired was a staff member from Mr. Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency.

Mr. Rubio had been privately furious with Mr. Musk for weeks, ever since his team effectively shuttered an entire agency that was supposedly under Mr. Rubio’s control: the United States Agency for International Development. But, in the extraordinary cabinet meeting on Thursday in front of President Trump and around 20 others — details of which have not been reported before — Mr. Rubio got his grievances off his chest.

Mr. Musk was not being truthful, Mr. Rubio said. What about the more than 1,500 State Department officials who took early retirement in buyouts? Didn’t they count as layoffs? He asked, sarcastically, whether Mr. Musk wanted him to rehire all those people just so he could make a show of firing them again. Then he laid out his detailed plans for reorganizing the State Department.

Mr. Musk was unimpressed. He told Mr. Rubio he was “good on TV,” with the clear subtext being that he was not good for much else. Throughout all of this, the president sat back in his chair, arms folded, as if he were watching a tennis match.

Who knows how much data they have duplicated and stole and fed into their AI..including all the proprietary business models at CFPB and taxes of his competition. People should be prosecuted for the security violations once we purge ourselves of this maga virus

Rubio and Duffy both called Musk a liar and proved it. King lear seems to be backing his minions for now. Musk will soon tire of the plodding pace of gubmnt. Question is will he get out of politics? Likely not
