It’s about time to think about moving them down in the order. Falby Shumaker Cahalan Mia Reagan Otis Jocelyn Brown Holtorf
Otis and Erickson have not been great and that has been against a fairly pedestrian pre-conference schedule.
I agree, especially about Otis. Yes walks work, but she is not getting clutch hits and her at bats today were not impressive. I like Cahalan in the 3 spot and would not mind Walsh in the clean up. Walsh had good hard contact today but just right at people. Even Mia and Holtorf hit balls to the warning track tonight. Didn't seem like Kennedy was that impressive, i think she was better last year. I agree it came down to the offense. Too many LOB.
For sure. She threw a ton of pitches and wasn't getting that call on the outside corner all night. We stranded 8 baserunners. Just couldn't take advantage of many opportunities. Their pitche walked 6 and they had an error, yet both of our runs came on solo home runs. We were 0-10 with runners on base and 0-6 with 2 outs. These veteran players have to be better than that.
Thanks for everyone chipping in and doing pbp I know we are disappointed in tonight's outcome But tomorrow is another day for our team to rebound .As always..Go Gators!
I, personally, would give all of this a rest about Korbe and Jocey. Two players who either one could have been SEC Player of the Year last year. Korbe is a touch over .400. Jocey a little under. Combined they have walked 38 times. Nobody is pitching to them. Sheesh, one bad game and we're ready to crucify them?? Really?
Was that winning run actually a run? On my tiny little phone it looked like she didn't get around jocey
Good game vs quality team on the road. Something about throwing behind a lead runner is not a good idea. RF made a great throw to the plate and the kid made a fantastic slide to avoid the tag. Kudos to them. Get them tomorrow.
Glad you asked. The last 4 games before tonight here are their lines. Mia 7-11 7 RBI Otis 3-13 1 RBI Jocelyn 3-11 1 RBI Thankfully I can watch and keep up with more than just one game. No one is saying they should be benched, and no one thinks they should stay that far down in the lineup. This happens all the time in baseball/softball. You go through a slump and a drop in the lineup lets you get some more at bats with less pressure to get back in rhythm some. But right now, they are consistently not producing at a spot in the lineup that we need them to. FWIW, if they stay in the same spot in the lineup I hope they each go 4-4 with 4 HR each tomorrow.
Nobody is ***crucifying*** anyone. Relax. Pointing out that these two great players aren't performing up to the very high standard they've set is not a bad thing. Do you think, if you asked them, they'd say they're 100% happy with their performance lately and tonight? Of course not.
LOL. You watched them for four games. I've watched them for 100. Taylor had a bad five games against crap. What would you have done with her? Hit her ninth or benched her? (I'm sure glad you were never my coach.)
