This is all great but if Rothrock is out for the series literally none of these stats matter. Entirely different match-up, in which the Gators have basically no chance
I think with our offense it’s hard to count us out of any game! Imagine the confidence boost, particularly for the pitching staff, if we could win a series on the road against a top five team without our ace . I wonder if Red is still on a pitch count? 85 pitches is enough to at least go deep into a game if she’s efficient and the defense doesn’t extend innings with errors.
I wonder if Tori Vidales will be on the call. She was excellent in the Houston game but would she be unbiased and as complementary to UF when going up against her Aggies lol?
Normally with games on SEC+, the announcers come from the home school. And from what I've read, Tori Vidales is the color commentator for Aggie softball on SEC+.
Thanks for the info! Well then we’ll find out this weekend if she can remain professional lol. I’m nervously excited about this series!
Homers homer, it’s what they do. Our homers tend to be well researched and complimentary of the other teams, but they’re still homers. Homers bother me a lot less than the big name, supposedly unbiased, talking heads that drool over certain teams for the entire broadcast. Especially when they’re well researched and knowledgeable about the game.
Tori has always done well on commentary in my opinion. I don't recall much bias form her if any at all she seems to be critical on the Ags.
Yes, I know I’m quoting myself… Just to touch on the subject of our homers a little more. I notice Cardozo on the field during the other team’s bp and fielding warmups quite often. He talks to coaches, players, and is really watching the guys take bp. Imo, it shows in his broadcasts. I wonder how many other “+” broadcast homers do this. Some of them don’t even seem to understand the game, much less know anything about the opposing team and their roster.
You said "basically no chance"....which is absurd. Could they lose 2 or 3 games? Sure. That's sports. But your over the top nonsensical statements are laughable
