Americans are cheering Trump’s passionate patriotism — and teaching the world a lesson

To infinity and beyond: Trump’s feel-good buzz is light-years away from the slurs and stumbles of the hoarse whisperer Joe Biden, let alone the halfwit hectoring and contrived cackling of Kamala Harris.

The Democrats have taken liberties with the trust of the American people

Trump is a patriot. He loves his country. He wants Americans to be happy.

No wonder that within three weeks of his inauguration, Rasmussen’s pollsters reported that for the first time in 20 years, a plurality of Americans believe the country is “on the right track.”

The looney left is in self-destruct mode, just read TH

Hopefully, this will convince the democrats to move closer to the middle and not let themselves be defined by the 'looney left'.

It is very early in this administration. The economy is still showing positive signs (today’s job report) from the boom we have experienced. But as American trade policy becomes unpredictable, foreign markets will look for other trade partners. As the effect of the cutbacks in certain programs take effect (for example, the effect of cuts in USAID on farming communities) and the constant threat of imposition of tariffs occur, there will be an inevitable slow down. Prices will be higher, people will buy fewer goods and spend less on discretionary purchases, there will be layoffs on top of the government cuts, etc. Think 1970s trade policies. Come back in 6 months and let’s see if Americans are happy.

As I’ve posted in the past I believe by mid summer the affect of Trumpism will cause his approval numbers to tank.

Expect a bumpy road ahead. I'm active on various forums, some around personal finance and investing. I'm seeing a strong undercurrent of people worried about job insecurity, and reigning in spending. Federal employees in particular, but other businesses worried about tariffs impacts. Heck, my (fortune 500) employer has a hiring freeze in place because we're concerned about tariffs squeezing our gross margins. When consumer confidence is shaken, people tighten their grip on the their wallets. Spending declines. The economy contracts.

Are you watching the stock market? Markets want stability. Trump is anything but.

The instability allows Trump to inside trade with his oligarch buddies because he controls the levers of the new cycle which influences the instability.

And it is easy when you have determined that anything a President does can't be illegal.

I’m not a business expert but It seems the biggest challenge for businesses would be the uncertainty with this on again off again use of tariffs making it difficult to know whether to hire or fire employees.

The only lessons the world is learning is that the US can no longer be trusted, it’s no longer the champion of freedom and democracy, that it treats allies worse than its foes or that maybe it has nonsensically reversed the meaning of the two terms. Our star has diminished and we’re all the worse off for it. Good job Republican sycophants. I hope you bear the worst of all that’s to come.

They should change this to dead internet law.

    Dead Internet theory - Wikipedia

    Claims:
The dead Internet theory has two main components: that organic human activity on the web has been displaced by bots and algorithmically curated search results, and that state actors are doing this in a coordinated effort to manipulate the human population.[3][14][15] The first part of this theory, that bots create much of the content on the internet and perhaps contribute more than organic human content, has been a concern for a while, with the original post by "IlluminatiPirate" citing the article "How Much of the Internet Is Fake? Turns Out, a Lot of It, Actually" in New York magazine.[2][16][14] The Dead Internet Theory goes on to include that Google, and other search engines, are censoring the Web by filtering content that is not desirable by limiting what is indexed and presented in search results.[3] While Google may suggest that there are millions of search results for a query, the results available to a user do not reflect that.[3] This problem is exacerbated by the phenomenon known as link rot, which is caused when content at a website becomes unavailable, and all links to it on other sites break.[3] This has led to the theory that Google is a Potemkin village, and the searchable Web is much smaller than we are led to believe.[3] The Dead Internet Theory suggests that this is part of the conspiracy to limit users to curated, and potentially artificial, content online.
