My son told me Coppola's issue was a blister, so he may be good to go this weekend. That being said, my son is a HS senior who gets his info from X.
Coach O'sullivan said in his postgame interview that Kurland dislocated his shoulder. From what I understand about dislocated shoulders, even if you can pop them right back in, is that recovery time is several weeks. Here's a Mayo Clinic article: https://www.mayoclinichealthsystem....lth/helping-athletes-with-dislocated-shoulder
Spoke to someone very close to the program who said Kurland may have a torn labrum as well. He also said he didn’t know what was going on with Coppola other than he just doesn’t look right.
That guy Broome playing basketball for Auburn seems to get water from Lourdes on his shoulders. Or Pearl really doesn't care about the long term health of his players.
Jones is out for the year Kurland will be back at some point. Coppola will skip his start this weekend. King to replace.
Apparently he tore his labrum. I listened to last nights press conference, it doesn't sound great re Coppola. He said they are getting second opinions, which means the first was not good. He said Kurland is at least 10 days away if not longer.
Coppola had extreme soreness/discomfort in his shoulder according to Cardozo after the game. I think that means damage. Unfortunately. This is King's chance to show what he's got and I'm sure we will rally behind him.
