We cant respond to your requests because the lawsuit challenging the USAID cuts are too many for our reduced staff from the cuts we are being sued about.

“We are unable to provide any services to those severely malnourished children, and so it's really a matter of days or weeks before many of them will die, the toll, the human lives that will be lost, is unfathomable said Jocelyn Wyatt, CEO of Alight, an international organization that provides food, medicine and services for refugees in 20 countries around the world.”

Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced Monday that 83 percent of the U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID) programs would be canceled, essentially capping a dramatic fall for the foreign aid organization under the Trump administration.

“After a 6 week review we are officially cancelling 83% of the programs at USAID,” Rubio wrote on the social platform X.

Rubio said there were 5,200 contracts that were canceled that would have spent “tens of billions” of dollars. He described those contracts as not serving the U.S. and, in some cases, harming the country’s national interests.

In consultation with Congress, we intend for the remaining 18 percent of programs we are keeping (approximately 1,000) to now be administered more effectively under the State Department,” Rubio said.

Marco Rubio announces 83 percent of USAID programs will be canceled

I think this will survive all legal challenges.

    Sad times for America.

But when we get that deficit-funded tax cut for Trump, Musk and all their cronies .... it will be all worth it!

“We were told to exclusively target Americans and Canadians,” he said. “That it was easier to get money from Americans because they have money, and those who didn’t have a lot of it wanted to make a lot of it.”

Now, anti-trafficking groups say the problem could get worse after vital funding that helped combat scam centers, and helped those forced to work at them, was lost due to sweeping cuts to foreign aid by the Trump administration.”

Probably the same.e amount we were paying farmers to PRODUCE food that we then used to project soft power and keep China from making inroads with belt and road.

Laughable. Of course, one could certainly argue about whether helping other people is in US interests.

Harming them, though? Nice to see Little Marco doesn't want to be left behind in the lying game by Uncle Elon and Daddy Trump.

The other falsehood he's trying to perpetrate is the amount of contracts that will continue. He might mean that in theory (or he may not, and just be being intentionally deceptive), but in reality USAID very well may no longer have the personnel structure in place to administer them.

Also; research Musk's 20-something stooges who personally were refusing to sign off on expenditures the first time Rubio "unfroze" amounts of USAID spending.

So this could just be Marco effectively lying.

That doesn't surprise me at all.

Because you know nothing about any of this and I do.

And, of course, most of the hacks appointed by "DOGE" know nothing about any of this either.

I'm sure it's funny to you. Because you have absolutely no knowledge of the subject.

On the other hand, I'm connected to people on both the USAID and deliverables side of the equation.

In addition to that, I'm a man with two Masters degrees who's worked in various industries, including for a Fortune 200 company. I've traveled to appx 35 different countries, and could have retired either right now or two decades ago in my early 30's.

You are a man whose diet of "information" consists of right-wing fake news such as "Bo Snerdley", and who's run a sandwhich shop.

So, yeah - I'm sure it's amusing to you to hear from someone who actually knows about the subjects on which you opine. That is, of course, because what other reaction could you have besides feigned amusement? And if your drive-by one-liners can be considered "opining."
