Why is there a green base next to first base?

 

This is looking like one of the meltdowns we've grown to expect from Miami or FSU, not us. C'mon boys, get it together!

 

Certainly not much focus today so far. Gift city.

Getting close to dog walking time

 

Clemente had everything going well but gotta throw strikes. Really bad way to finish a series against a rival.

 

Well Barlow wasn't the answer. Gators still, got 4 inn to win this.

 

King may need a starter role. Sully not into not throwing strikes. HBP and BB’s don’t translate.

 

Not really, they're not even having to get hits. We're making errors, giving them walks, and hbp's.

 

I think they've hit bone now.

The free bases have killed us

 

The green base (also could be orange) is a double base on the 1st baseline that the hitter can step on and be deemed safe if the hitter touches the green base before the defense touches the regular white base. The green/orange base was instituted to reduce serious injuries from collisions at first base.
