#8 batter for Troy leads off with a double to left center on a 1-0 pitch.

 

#9 batter grounds an 0-2 pitch back to Oxley. Makes the throw to 1st for the out, runner moves to 3rd.

 

Next batter grounds the first pitch to Cahalan. She holds the runner at 3rd and throws the batter out. 2 down.

 

Next batter bounces it in the hole between 3rd & SS for an infield RBI single. 7-2 Gators.

 

Next batter pops up the first pitch to Mia to retire the side. 7-2 Gators.

 

Ava Brown pinch hits for McLellan to lead off the bottom of the 5th. She strikes out looking on an 0-2 pitch and continues her struggles at the plate.

 

Holtorf lays down a perfect bunt on the first pitch and beats it out for a hit.

 

Falby hits a check swing grounder to 3rd. Rylee forced at 2nd for the 2nd out.

 

Kendra steals 2nd.

 

Shumaker flies out to LF on a 3-1 count to end the inning. I believe this is the first time Taylor has gone 0-4 in a game. She is human!!!

 

FYI on Lacrosse. The Gators woke up in the 4th period, outscored James Madison 6-1. They were down 17-16 and has a free position shot with 2:58 left. They had the shot blocked, then had 2 more shots in the last 30 seconds or so, but the JMU goalkeeper saved both shots and Florida lost 17-16. JMU won the draw control battle 23-11, an area where Florida is usually very good. Tough home loss.

Next batter grounds out to 3rd to end an easy inning for Miller. Still 7-2 UF.

 

Another good outing by Red. No drama, I like that.

 

Korbe leads off the bottom of the 6th for Florida by lining out to 2nd on a 1-1 pitch.

 

So I guess Olivia is off the table for starting against Western Michigan. So it's either Hammock or Brown. I'm thinking Brown given Kara pitched yesterday.

 

Jocelyn pops out to SS on a 2-0 pitch. 2 down.
