In 1986, I was travelling through northern Europe when the U.S. bombed Libya. Despite not appearing overtly American (or so we thought), total strangers approached us to ask about U.S. foreign policy. If you will be travelling, I recommend reading up on European sentiment (Reuters, BBC, etc) and noting U.S. Embassy numbers for all countries you visit. Not sure how accurate our State Dept. advisories will be under this administration. No American should assume a warm & fuzzy welcome going forward, even in traditionally friendly places.
I give Zelensky a lot of props. He kept his cool. He never escalated but he did not back down. Trump and Vance sat there and repeatedly gaslit Zelensky and he stayed cool but didn’t back down. Much props to him. Here is a guy who would have every reason to suck up to Trump during wartime, but he doesn’t, compared to most republicans that do it merely to keep their pathetic political careers afloat.
You would only have to go back 10 years, honestly. Republicans were outraged about Russia taking a piece of Ukrainian territory when it happened under Obama.
I’ve met lots of foreign tourists visiting the US. Never once have I asked them about their county of origin’s foreign policy. I’ll welcome them and ask them about family, food and what they do for fun. Typical Euro douchery and snobbery.
Excellent day for Ukraine. They just solidified support of the free world and likely EU support to use frozen Russian assets to fund not only the war but the reconstruction. Big loser is Taiwan, and anyone China wants repatriated to China
Just listened to the fiasco in the White House. That was disgraceful and disgusting. No diplomacy. We are better than that shit show. I will leave the party that I have been a member of since 1984 by the end of this day and become an independent. He thinks that this is great tv? Grow the hell up.
. He wanted a security agreement that was never coming. He attempted to play it out in public and it didn’t go well.
maybe you are unsure of what you watched. What I saw was Z trying to use the media to get trump to sign a security agreement as part of the deal. That was never on the table but he tried anyway .
You think the USA is the only industrialized country in the world. Riddle me this investment manager, what happens if European funds sell off American assets? Even just a couple big ones like Norwegian Sovereign wealth fund
