If you were convinced that vaccines were NOT safe and effective, would you still hold to your “to each his own” position ?

And after 55 years and over a half trillion invested in the “War Against Cancer” (why are we always fighting wars ?) I’d suggest we consider the possibility that “cancer treatments” are harming more than we help.

For that matter, I’m not certain we know what cancer really is.

I’m smart enough to look at the research, and the background of those who say vaccines aren’t safe and effective. Aside from religious and egg allergy concerns there is no legitimate reason to avoid vaccinations. The odd thing is those who oppose vaccines are more apt to take quack cures that actually are dangerous.
At least 5 states report an increase in calls to poison control after Trump’s ‘disinfectant’ COVID-19 remarks — Michigan Poison & Drug Information Center

You can suggest all you want but there is zero evidence to support your claim. All you have to do is look at the advancements in cancer research to see millions of lives have been saved, or at least extended as a result.

That’s just the thing. You don’t do your own research. You just take your marching orders just like the MAGA types you’ve referenced in five states.

Every year roughly 4,500 drugs or medical devices PREVIOUSLY APPROVED BY THE FDA are recalled, for various reasons, including injuries and deaths.

But when the preacher shouts “Safe and Effective!” you’re slain in the Spirit and you roll in the aisle.

And it is HIGHLY debatable that more lives have been saved than lost via chemo, radiation, massive does of steroids, biopsies, surgeries, etc.

I’m not a researcher but I’m smart enough to trust the scientists who actually do the research. As far as recalls go it’s usually the company doing the recall because of mistakes made in the production of the drugs, so take your chances big guy. I’m pretty sure I’ll outlive you.

Your coarse braggadocio does not advance the debate. You and I are going to die no matter what we do (or don’t do) and neither of us are guaranteed another day.

That said - and this is the critical issue - your “scientists who do the research” have played a significant role in lopping two to three years off of our life expectancy since 2020.

the committee to review and select the strains of flu to be used for next years vaccine has been told not to meet.

that means either we use the mix recommended by WHO or we don't produce a flu vaccine.

a good flu epidemic can thin the herd, genetic selection, survival of the fittest and all. side bene is it helps cut SS costs so we can build more rockets

FDA cancels advisory committee meeting on flu vaccine strain selection | CIDRAP

An upcoming meeting of a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) vaccine advisory board to select virus strains for next season's flu shot has been canceled.

The March 13 meeting of the FDA's Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC) was scheduled to make recommendations for the flu strains that will be included in the 2025-26 flu shot or nasal spray for the Northern Hemisphere. VRPBAC typically meets in March to make those recommendations, which are based on what flu strains are expected to be circulating in the fall and winter. The FDA uses the recommendations to direct vaccine manufacturers on the composition of the shots, which take roughly 6 months to produce.

VRBPAC members were alerted that the meeting was canceled in an email from the FDA that did not include an explanation, according to the Washington Post. The cancelation is raising concerns that the timing and availability of next season's flu shot could be affected.

"Cancelling this meeting means vaccine makers may not have the vital information and time they need to produce and distribute targeted vaccines before the next flu season," Infectious Diseases Society of America President Tina Tan, MD, said in a statement. "If the FDA meeting is not immediately rescheduled, many lives that could be saved by vaccination will be lost."

John Lauritsen was an early AIDS dissident. In his Poison by Prescription he contends that upwards of 300,000 gay males were killed by high doses of AZT, not the cancer they were prescribed to treat.

AZT was a product of cancer research.

Continuing on the topic of cancer treatment and the fear of funding cuts to research …

Years ago my dad was diagnosed with cancer and died six months later. Was it the cancer or the radiation that ravaged his body and left him a living skeleton in his final weeks ?

Last year a young friend of mine was, as an active young adult, was diagnosed with melanoma and only lasted a few months. Was it the melanoma of the radiation, chemo and massive doses of steroids that left her bloated beyond recognition, delirious much of the time, unable to walk and falling out of bed in her final weeks ?

Nearly twenty years ago my baby sister was diagnosed with adult onset leukemia and given less than two years to live without a bone marrow transplant. She had the procedure done and it was a hellish experience. She is thankfully still with us, albeit “immunocompromised.” Ironically (wildly so) a close friend of hers was diagnosed with the same time with the same type of leukemia. She was ineligible for the transplant, but is still with us.

I can’t say for sure what I would do if I was diagnosed with cancer. But against the hysterical fear of funds being cut … I submit that we are not asking enough questions.

Well fella, all I can say is if you get cancer, and most likely you will, rely on thoughts and prayers from your friends and family and don’t get treated. In the meantime stay out of the way of those of us who believe in cancer research who want that choice.

    Sheesh.

We need more people getting flu shots.

A study from '13 - '19: "We found that overall influenza vaccine uptake (6 months and older) had a statistically significant protective association with the P&I death rate. This translated to a 0.33 (95% CI: 0.20, 0.47) per 100,000 population reduction in P&I deaths in the influenza season per 1% increase in overall influenza vaccine uptake."

That's pretty big as P&I is at 14.1 per 100k. The 12th leading cause of death.

I mean, if you think a virus is a thing. (That guy still around?)

That’s blatantly false. Life expectancy started dropping in 2019 thanks to the Trump plague, drug overdoses, accidents, suicides, and poor lifestyle choices but returned to pre-pandemic levels in 2023.

Well he earned his keep in just the first briefing. Said almost no accurate or truthful things, proving he truly is on the train.

He was so committed that one of his mistakes/lies was killing MORE people than reality had (so far). Not sure this is going to work long term, as clearly you are supposed to go the other direction.

But even being able to stay on board the Never True theme is pretty good for a guy whose brain was eaten by a worm.

Since you seem to be content with bromides, barbs and hypotheticals, here’s a hypothetical for you …

If the both of us are diagnosed with cancer this year, you go with your cut, poison and burn and I’ll gather thoughts and prayers.

And I’ll be I’ll outlive you!
