Too early to tell obviously (Olivia Miller and Ava Brown also looked great last year against early season cupcakes), but I like what I'm seeing with Oxley. She has great late movement on her pitches that gets batters swinging at balls way out of the strike zone. Something I don't really see with our other pitchers.
I realize this was FGCU. But Red struck out 8 and gave up one hit that rolled 4 feet in front of the plate. What you saw tonight is why IMO Red and Keagan are co-#1.

Appears Red has toned it down a little. She still totally commands the circle but she isn't quite as much "in your face" as she has been in the past. I truly believe that before four years is up we will consider her one of the best we have ever had.
I just got home and the game was already over. Impressive win all the way around. Got Oxley available just at the right time. Get a few good games under her belt before the SEC schedule starts. Erickson starting to get cranking, Walsh got 2 hits and Taylor keeps being Taylor. Nice win.
