Just seems like it would be yet another inflationary policy, a bunch of people demanding goods and services. Esp if they were more oligarch class than entrepreneur class. Entrepreneurs on the other hand create value. Their “toll” should be $0.

 

Yeah, these people will largely just buy property, avoid taxes and become rent seekers

They do at least create demand for certain things I guess. Like… a ridiculous amount of healthcare jobs exist in FL because of the need to service seniors. Of course a lot of that is paid or at least subsidized by the federal govt through Medicare.

There was already no confusion. Unfortunately at least 30% of the country thinks just like this, whether they publicly state it or not. Well at least it isn’t 90%, like it was 60 years ago when my father could not go school with white kids until his senior year.

And even liberals try to pretend this was a long time ago. My father lived during Jim Crow and my son hasn’t even started kindergarten yet. We are not as advanced as you think.

I was kind of wondering about the sports angle here. Its really not all that hard to get a visa / green card if you are a pro athlete though. Perhaps people would be willing to expedite the process? Or get citizenship for national teams (though other countries have tried this and rules have changed). The main obstacle with Klavzar was more that he played in a pro league prior to NCAA basketball.
