Yeah, he bodied one player right out of bounds along the baseline. It wasn't a hard foul, but it's going to get called 90% of the time.
He is so strong and muscular thick, the refs watch for him everytime anybody gets near him. Compare him to Johnni Broom, who has his arms all over you pushing and pulling. Rueben talks with the refs and is always smiling, he gets a bad rap. I think he is our best big defending around the basket, a pretty good scorer also. No one goes to the hoop on Rueben when he is under the basket, if they do, they will get blocked and somtimes he rips the ball right out of their hands. As for him bodying up the guy out of bounds, how many bad no calls on opposing home teams get away with. The other night Will Richards got an offensive lineman moving block on him, just another example of how the refs let less physical teams get away with a lot of mugging on us. SEC refs if truth be known have never been Florida fans. Rueben isn’t perfect, but he is getting picked on due to the refs allegiance to other teams and his physical superiority. Without Condon, we were rolling with Rueben, sounds like a song! FYI….
Agreed. He needs to work on being a grown man mentally, where situational awareness is concerned. Chinyelu and Haugh seem constantly perplexed that they ever get called for too much chest-bumping or a grab, but they almost always did foul.
