Which means curtailing or shutting down the parks will also affect nearby communities, motels, gas stations, restaurants that depend on the tourist traffic for income. But screw them, we need tax cuts for the super rich.

then follow the IG reports that have been stacking up in Congress instead of letting a drug addicted megamaniac and his boy blunders make indiscriminate cuts with no rhyme or reason other than those are the easiest ones to fire. you wouldn't run your business that way and the parks crews were already overloaded as it is. you would know that if you had been to any of the popular parks this decade.

OT - BIL works for a native corporation health care group in Anchorage. Position tracking purchases to monitor for fraud and abuse at satellite facilities in remote villages. Accounting, forensic accounting, logistics mentoring etc to look for abnormalities or inconsistencies that are often justifiable when the expenditure is examined in detail or could be fraud and waste. Position funded by a grant to be oversight that was frozen. BIL laid off...oversight gone...funds for operations still flowing, now without oversight...efficiency at work baby

since I am an Alaska guy I track it closely. They are having a record dry winter with less than a foot of snow around Anchorage. That will likely mean a record fire season this year. I wonder DT will send help if they agree to call it McKinley or withhold help if the keep calling it Denali? Murkowski votes against him frequently so I guess it is going to be a hard summer. No or little snow melt will impact the river levels and salmon run times. No idea what we will find this June when we get there but hope to fill the freezers somehow

such underused assets need private capital to unlock their potential. we can make a deal and the US will have the best deal ever. Trump Yosemite..thing of beauty, face carved in there right up there on el capitan and a giant golden T on half dome
