Condon and Golden will make the right call, just like they did when Clayton sprained his ankle. If we get to a double digit lead this evening, rest him. If it’s a slugfest, we might have to use him. I’m hoping Micah, and Tommy can dominate and let Condon heal a little more. Just my 2-cents.
Sounds like we also have a bit of an update on Sam Alexis. "A little further behind" than Condon sounds like it ended up not being that bad, and not the dreaded 8 weeks+ high ankle variety.
I say hold him out until Georgia. That game could be a make it or break it game for Mike White after their loss coming up at Auburn today.
Can't take any SEC team for granted, especially on their home floor. Micah is still getting back into game shape, but he, Haugh & Reuben have to realize that foul trouble will hurt the frontcourt depth without Condon & Alexis. The team needs to stay focused and not take LSU for granted. Limit turnovers, move the ball and make open shots. As the Beatles used to say, "We can work it out!"
Condon was sure jumping around during the Oklahoma game. If that’s any indication, he should be good to go.
If there is any question, give him one more game off. I agree that no SEC game is a gimme, so my opinion does not center around that false concept. If we take this game seriously, and I think that we will, we can win Saturday without him. Yes, that ups the odds for an upset, but playing the odds in a more general sense, in my opinion, if he is not quite 100%, we are more likely to be in an advantageous position come tournament time if we rest him for one more game. I always want to win, and I think we can win today without Condon, but regardless, the tournaments are the most important thing by far, so we need to make sure that we are at our peak condition at that time.
Good to see Condon dressed in a uniform for the LSU game last night. That silently states he’s ready to go.
He looked like he was ready against LSU but I'm glad we held him out. Condo was rushing his paint shots all season and his shooting percentage was suffering for it. But it looked like he had it more under control the last few games before he got hurt. If he can pick up where he left off, and with Haugh and Chins also scoring at a higher level... watch out.
The good news is that we can ease him in. Gonna be very interesting to see the distribution of minutes down the stretch.
I bet Haugh still starts, like DA did upon Martin's return. I'd also guess between 10-16 minutes for Alex.
I hope having Micah back allows Condon to play more freely and not look forced at times. I agree though he was playing his best ball before the injury.
Flat out baller. One of the best we've ever had for effort and toughness. Can't wait to see him on the floor again and keep on growing into a COMPLETE flat out baller.
I hope he plays, gets 10-15 minutes. Gets him ready for the final 3 game push against ranked teams (I presume Ole Piss is still ranked).
