You know who has the top rosters. Stars don't necessarily dictate which players are the best but the best players usually win the most games and the nfl takes those players. The draft doesnt really lie.

I get that - let me present my question another way: do you think a top 10 recruiting class is made up of many of “the best players”?

Sure, the top classes have more top players and are usually better rosters and win more games

I ask the seemingly silly question to understand whether or not you think we are getting some of the best players. In your post you seemed to imply that we not putting up enough NIL and therefore not getting the best players. Did I read that wrong?

DJ was maybe the top player. We possibly arent capsble of buying the too class and are definitely st a disadvantage if we expect to beat the top recruiting classes with a class rated near ten. It could happen but it seems the chances are much better for the few that are always top 5 and fifth seems like a down class for them. Our exp maybe should be to compete for a playoff spot.

Yep, Napier is a good recruiter and has a good eye for talent, that much is for sure. His mostly honest criticism comes from his offensive game calling skills and his overall knowledge of other types of offensive schemes.

Per Ali Peek, she said the reason UF didn't go after a tackle in the portal is because Fletcher Westphal showed enough to be the guy. Watch for him to be a starter.

Yep, hearing some good things about Westphal and Wangoy. We'll know a lot more when spring starts in a couple weeks.

I haven't heard anything about Manuel. It would be nice having a healthy 5th yr Sr. in the mix. So it would be good if that’s him working out with Barber.

It’s gonna come down to whether or not he can develop in that area

Yep, and the most important detail in that is his development of the short yardage plays/game.

He needs to master short yardage, or 2 point conversion plays. If he can call, and make, short yardage plays automatic... that would change our game for the better.

Donzo - Whats the word regarding Caden Jones? La recruit Billy brought in. Great size but do you expect him to get into the rotation much?
Played a total of 28 snaps last year so not much PT. It seems Caden needs to make some positive steps this spring because he is getting to the point
of being bypassed. Just curious what your take on him is.

Nothing on Jones so far. Just a few positive things about Westphal and Wangoy. Waiting for spring for more info on Manuel, Jones, Zandamela and Portnjagin.

It’s a very big spring for Jones. Lovett got the start over him at RT in the bowl. Now we hear some positive things about two guys in the class after his (Westphal/Wagnoy). Jones needs to establish his spot on the 2-deep.

Spring transfers can't stay in the SEC, correct?

A far cry from not having enough guys to conduct a scrimmage under the last guy.

Caden Jones lost a whole year, so competitive stance is he is Wangoy and Westphal's year. He was more raw than Westphal as a recruit, and I don't not see an indictment against Jones for Wangoy and Westphal doing well. Regarding Portnjagin and Wangoy, both were playing a poor level before UF BUT they played against g.a.m., which is something American kids do not get. There isn't a substitute for that.
