If he worked in a police station, he would walk up to the detective investigating a serial killer and say, "The killer is unstoppable. Might as well be friends with him, right?"

I also like the "Let me distract you with a trivial story about my 'friend' the teacher who went to China and was treated well by students. That should neutralize any stories about the government killing and abusing people, and getting ready to invade another country."

I actually picture him as the guy in the movie "Airplane!" that is constantly distracting the others with off-topic idiocy.

 

If he didn't have anything more serious on Trump, he would not have had the old picture of naked Melania published in Russia. He would have started with flattery, which usually works with Trump's simple mind. Instead, he pointed out to Trump that he (Putin) was the boss in this relationship. Trump ate his humble pie on that rather quietly. The published photo was a reminder that Putin has more where that came from.

 

China sells almost exclusively to the rest of the world. With 40% of the population earning less than $1800 a year, most Chinese cannot afford very much.

I actually went to China 8-10 times for a total of a half a year or more, spending time in Tianjin, Shanghai, Ningbo, Guangzhou, and a few smaller cities and towns. I met lots of really nice people, and became friends with some of them. They do not deserve the horrible government that they have. They deserve better.

Have you ever even met a Chinese person? Strange that your story professing how wonderful China is seems to be predicated on an American visiting China and telling you second-hand about how Chinese people treat visitors. Maybe you can find someone who says he's met Martians and tell us how wonderful Martians are and why we should be friends with them.

 

Ah, you mean the government whose only contribution over the last 60 years has been figuring out how to get out of the Chinese people's way enough so they can do what they've always been capable of? Same one that's now killing that. CCP will go down as the biggest fraud in history and Xi as the idiot who killed the golden goose. Just think about it. A Canadian goose named "Trudeau" slaughtered a U.S. bald eagle named "Trump" recently, indicating that Canada has dominated and humiliated the United States. There is talk of allowing the United States to become Canada's 11th province. Ouch!
