Men host AU today, women there tomorrow After a dismal start for both teams it's a chance to start fresh. Men really need to win at home vs a beatable opponent. Losing today would be a VERY bad sign. Women facing a very good AU team, need to see who is available for the women before judging that match
UF takes a close doubles point...crucial Mid 1st sets, UF up a break in 2, AU up a break in 2, 2 on serve
First sets wrapping up Jin getting destroyed on 1, 1-6 Ganesan edges out a win 6-4 Johnson plays well 6-2 Jefferson serving for the set at 5-4 Nirundorn 6-2 Edengren bageled 0-6, but up 2-1 in second.....h's been my biggest letdown so far, expected him to be a very solid #4 type player, and he is struggling to even play 6 edit Jefferson closes out his first set, UF takes 4 first sets. Looking solid
Nirundorn first to finish with another 6-2 set...nice outing Jefferson next with an easy 6-1 set....UF up 3-0 Edengren had a nice second set lead but has blown it and about to lose Johnson blows a lead and his second set 4-6 Jin has played well in his second, blew a couple of games but leads 5-3 Ganesan up 5-3 and close to sealing it up
Ganesan does close it out Jin failed to force a third but still up 5-4 Johnson getting beaten in a super TB Edengren forces a super TB
Auburn takes doubles point pretty easily....just been awful in doubles so far Still no Lopez or Emily in singles, hopefully competitive today
First sets wrapping Gailis 6-2 Dudeney 4-6 Gateway 4-6 Dauberniva 1-6 Spee 4-6 Oliveras 5-3 Not awful vs a very good team....but likely another L
Gailis blitzed in her 2nd set...on to a 3rd Dudeney up 3-2 Gatenby loses set 1-6 and her match Daubernova down 4-5 Spee up 4-3 Oliveras won her first and 2-2 in 2nd
Gailis wins her match Oliveras falls apart and lives hers....that hurts Dudeney, Spee, Daubernova in tight 3rd sets Turned into a really good match....pleasant surprise
Dudeney wins but Spee and Daubernova both lose 5-7 in the third...tough loss Need Lopez and better doubles to beat quality teams
Men are facing Bama today at home.....Bama is decent but very beatable. They lost to So Car on Saturday Match moved indoors due to rain. No video, no live stats, and incredibly incompetent twitter feed. Have figured out uf lost the doubles point as usual. Top 3 singles underway, top 2 courts on serve and Janmagnus down 0-3. Pretty poor start
Jonmagnus comes back to win his match on 3 Jin loses a close on 6-7 5-7, blew leads in both sets Ganesan match all over the place....he won the first, lost a lead and the second set, trailed 0-3 in the 3rd but apparently has won 5 straight (assuming the feed is correct lol). Pretty much have to have his point, can't expect to win all 3 lower courts
Ganesan holds on 6-4 to even the match 2-2 Jefferson on 4, Nirundorn on 5, Edengren was slated for 6 but apparently benched for freshman Villard. need 2 of 3
Jefferson takes his first set 6-4 Nirundorn down 2-5....he's a little maddening, slow starter and streaky. He is a battler, so you never know...but in his 3rd year had hoped he might have stepped up a little more. But his size and physical limitations are a factor
Nirundorn battles but loses first 4-6 Villard with nice 6-1 set. Uf freshmen have struggled to finish matches, looks like we will need one today
