The reason I have you unblocked is that sometimes you are great for comedy gold. This is a spectacularly entertaining post.
Even if this "ended up being reality" it doesn't mean we were "lied to" as some of you have claimed. I also don't see her saying that the vax didnt help spread. She says that wasnt the main reason for it. It was more like she was saying the protocols were out of whack.which many of us also said at the time. She was also shooting down the poor messaging She never says the vaccine was harmful or did not reduce risk of serious covid disease. (You may recall that I was accused of "killing grandmas" because I waited a while to get vaccinated because I didnt consider myself 9ne of the risk groups) Many of us have seen the reality that spread still happens, but we have also seen loved ones with serious underlying conditions avoid serious health issues as well as not coughing and wheezing ourselves which can actually spread it. For years your pov has called Birx a liar and jow you are clinging to one sentence like It's the Gospel. I think she is just voicing the moderate reality. It does shoot down the more covidian approach that many had...and a few I know still have. And that some here lectured people about. (Firings, students being isolated etc) That was the stupid stuff
She was the voice that pushed a drug on an entire population. Now she is owning how wrong she was. The problem is…she is a doctor. And she absolutely knew in 2021 as they pushed the policy to vaccinate everyone that it was not based on science and data. Please do not tell me you are naive enough to believe she just now is realizing that? These few doctors violated public health and basic medicine. She is at least acknowledging it now. Though she absolutely shares responsibility with the few that silenced those calling them out for not engaging in evidence based medicine. As we see the propaganda is still around today. As people just don’t want to admit they were lied to.
None of that was actually even stupid though, as I think even at the rollout i don’t think people thought it purveyed some lifetime immunity. Seemed reasonable to think maybe a year or something along those lines. Reality was more like 6 months. I know some were throwing around ideas like “vaccine scans” for entry to restaurants and ticketed events and stuff which was probably over the top. Although at the time the vaccines were rolling out was also the Delta wave, so with that going on I think people who wanted to “return to normal” as quickly as possible were quite miffed at the spayshul people who were making that last ugly wave worse than it needed to be. Plus nobody knew for certain that would actually be the last wave. Totally crazy for a health care worker or military to hold out in light of all that, an office worker or private citizen can do whatever. I think a year down the road after weaker variants took hold nobody really cared anymore. Most people probably got the original shot, and maybe 1 booster and that’s it. I think my elderly parents got the 2nd booster just for the heck of it but I’d bet 2nd booster was a very low % overall.
