Will Harris to scUM (See Post #56)

Which brings up another important factor in recruiting- stability. If I'm recruiting against you and have a more stable staff record, I'm going to ask you if you believe your position coach at UF is going to be there next season.

Ohio State lost their DC, OC, and OLine coach after the championship. All teams have coaches coming and going. Nothing abnormal about what is going on at UF

 

It is situational. If I were recruiting against Ohio State, that would be a good response.

I would imagine Roberts was apart of the hiring process and gave the green light on these new coaches, so hopefully that will bring about some stability.

 

Not so fast my friends...

Some posts Will Harris may be going back to NFL.

 

This said it all... It really was a business decision for Harris. And after hearing that interview, I feel much better about our defense moving forward.

I posted my thoughts on an article I read from an Auburn beat writer, forgot his name, but he said that Ron Roberts was the real deal and that Auburn made a huge jump in their defense (according to that writer) and that we got a good one. That was when we landed him, and obviously before we had played even one game last year.

It seems like it took till after our first bye week to get the defense up to Ron Roberts' complete control because that's when we all noticed a HUGE jump in quality of play from our defense.

Now, if we can just build on that defense, we will be a much better team from the start... hopefully there is NO backsliding on the defense and there is NO sputtering. I want to see our defense come out ON FIRE from the first game of the year.

Now, Harris took an iffy recruit to the Gators, so I'll give him that one. But anymore Gator recruits that leave for Miami? I'll reserve my opinion about him.... But for now, I can't blame him for looking for more cash.

Looks like Saints. It is a compliment when the NFL wants your coaches. Means well trained and run a NFL scheme. We’ve lost a WR coach, Safety Coach, TE coach, Interior OL coach, and now a CB coach to NFL teams.

 

So scum is an nfl team?

 

There are so many positives about our program. This came down to money I am sure. As long as there are no player defections we will be fine.
