Why was it ok when Clinton cut jobs and government agencies? However it’s not ok when Trump does it. Anyone remember the Reinventing Government Initiative (RIGO)?

At least Clinton had something to show for it, the best economy AND the only president to reduce the deficit below 0 during my lifetime. Trump won’t come close to either.

What did he have to show for it in his first few weeks in office? Nothing.

Same with Trump, except Trump had one of the best economies until COVID hit which was created by Democrats and Fauci.

He also followed the constitution and did it working with congress.

“H.R.3345 - Federal Workforce Restructuring Act of 1994”

    103rd Congress (1993-1994)

And Clinton and team were methodical and intelligent about the process. Not closing down entire divisions without even knowing what they do just so he can make a post on X.

Stop making crap up. Those laws were not in place when he ordered those cuts and made that speech on February 10, 1993. Do you want to try again?

Simple answer: Federal Workforce Restructuring Act of 1994.

You know, an actual Congressional Act, taken in cooperation with the White House after over 6 months of review of all Federal Departments. It AUTHORIZED THE PRESIDENT to reduce the federal workforce through multiple avenues including money for early retirement and severance buyouts.

The difference? Congress Acted and ensured that the actions taken were CONSTITUTIONAL and in line with Congressional mandate.

    I know, I know....facts. Kryptonite of Republicans.

He ordered and eliminated those jobs before Congress acted on it. Please review your dates. Democrats revising history and making crap up again.

This can’t be a serious post. Trump inherited the Obama economy.

Under Obama, unemployment was cut from a recession-peak of 10 percent
    to only 4.7 percent.

By the end of the Obama administration, the economy had experienced 76 consecutive months of job growth. Since Trump became president, the streak extended to 109 consecutive months.

During the last 33 months of the Obama administration, non farm job growth averaged 224,000 per month. During the first 33 months of the Trump administration, the average was 34,000 jobs per month less.

Average real GDP growth was roughly the same for the first 11 quarters under President Trump (ending Sept. 2019) and for the last 11 quarters of the Obama administration.

During the last two years of the Obama administration, annual median household
income increased $4,800. This is three times more than the $1,400 increase during the first
two years of the Trump administration.

Trump frequently points to the stock market as evidence of his success, even though it is a poor proxy for the nation’s overall economic well-being since nearly half of Americans do not own stock, either directly or indirectly. However, even by this measure, he lags behind Obama. Between President Trump’s Inauguration Day and November 2019, the Dow Jones Average increased more than 40 percent, while over the eight years of the Obama administration, the DJIA increased almost 150 percent, a substantially greater pace.

In 2019, that was Obama’s economy, but in 2021, it was Biden’s economy? When was it in Trumps economy? Only 2020 during COVID?

Sounds like Clinton read Nobel laureate Milton Friedman's Tyranny of the Status Quo (1984)

Friedman gave Reagan and Alan Greenspan credit for the Clinton economy.

Friedman also said in 1983 that Reagan's biggest mistake was not asking for greater spending cuts and bigger tax cuts. You might not get what you ask for but you'll get more than if you had asked for less. Trump should be understood in this context.

Ah yes I remember the Economic Recovery Act of 1981 which reduced revenue by 2.89%. I also remember the rest of Reagan’s presidency that had a series of tax increases that raised revenue by 2.98%. Do your research Sonny.

...and just to be clear here:

Billy Bob is held up by the Democrat party as the gold standard of fiscal responsibility.

Billy Bob dun X v/v fiscal responsibility.

X was good when Billy Bob dun did it.

    Trump doing X.

    Trump = bad. Very bad.

X = bad, very bad, when Trump does X, bc Trump = bad, very bad.

    = Today's Democrat logic

Economic Growth Has Reached 3 Percent for the First Time in More than a Decade Thanks to President Donald J. Trump’s Policies – The White House

...and Reagan also took us into a recession during the 1st year of his presidency, before orchestrating/ ushering in a monster comeback for the ages.

We're a debt fueled bubble economy under the Dems. Gotta burst the bubble to get back to generating real value.

Stop with your lies .. Obama never said that, Trump made up that quote and attributed it to Obama, and you believed him like a good little sheep ... And Trump never got GDP above 3% in any year he was president, he topped out at 2.97%, just like Obama.
