Please back up what you post with something that has credibility. I posted a link that says we are well funded, top 10. Are we not? How are other teams not playing by the rules? Maybe part of it is that this staff and his back office is just getting better at recruiting. Our streak of wins had to help, just as the previous streaks of losses did not.

We have different state rules/LAWS than some other states to consider. We do as well as expected considering that in some state paty-to-play is legal. I don't need a link to say that. But there's more to it than that.

I like the fact that Napier will not simply offer the most to the best player, but instead recruits the portal for value, and he's done a great job at finding great talent for less with fewer headaches that go with these "mercenaries" for hire.

So the NIL is not dictating who Npier and his team of coaches will sign... More money probably will not change that.

    You tell him,Rick. Yessir.
I moved to Jacksonville in 87 and I got to read and see the Gator bashing up close and personal. The town was allegedly split 50-50 because the game was played there every year. The Dawgs were winning most of the games, so the “unbiased “sports reporters did what all commercial newspapers do…PANDER TO THE WINNERS.
SO, the sports sections were filled with their most imaginative slam..we were LOUD OBNOXIOUS GATORS. Why? Because we had the temerity to support our freaking football team and be proud of them. We showed up..and out..and supported our team by actually showing up every year.
How dare we show up and have the guts to compete.

Our close games, near misses are legendary and any GATOR who hasn’t taken the time to look at our history, from the 60s until now, don’t know crap about our beloved university. We have this thing called the internet and you can educate yourself very quickly..if you care.
Go on too many message boards in the last 20 years and you do,not find too many so called LOUD OBNOXIOUS GATORS.
    Far from it.
What you find is the 3% of the participants terrorize the 97% true reasonable legitimate “Gator” fans, not by being knowledgeable and explanatory, but by viciously attacking every person of importance, in the university, in the coaching staff, on the team, every possible whipping boy, every other poster who disagrees on any opposing point.
    Why?
They are angry at the world. So, they go where others congregate, and regurgitate their self loathing upon every other poster who is simply trying to navigate their so-called lives with a little dignity and the never say die attitude they see in our sports teams.
Not favored to win? Going to see some fight and discipline and serious effort from our young men and women? You bet we are.
Because we see our own lives and challenges played out in a simple game. THEY ARE OUR PROXIES. THEY ARE US.
The sane, valiant TRUE GATORS root , support, critique, commiserate, and relate.
Opinions are offered as thoughtful considerations and never as a BATTLE AXE.

The emotionally damaged tear down, berate, insult, embrace the negative, and despise all who are not like they are.
Go to TOO HOT. YOU will see what the third level of HELL looks like.

OSU paid for the best talent and won a title. How different is last season or next if we paid top dollar for Jeremiah Smith?

Sure it does. A rising tide lifts all boats. If we had enough NIL money to pay all the our players better, we could afford to pay for who we want without putting that player beyond the scale of the others. Money has always been a factor and always will be.

Next to the NCAA sports version of the WAFFLE HOUSE, the NFL looks like KING SOLOMON.
Even they learned that if some restraints were not put on payroll, every mother loving son of them would be out of business.
    So they did.
The college version sports equivalent of the FRENCH REVOLUTION ( that is total anarchy in simpler terms) is observed ( not properly controlled) in our NIL quandary.
THERE SHOULD BE CONSTRAINTS ON UNIVERSITY’s spending. We are in a place where college football is simply a minor league football program and even the simplest one year contract can be violated. No controls. Transfer at will.
    .
The answer to excessive spending is not to encourage even higher spending, even in the name of competition. We are destroying the game we love

We can't look at JS's production at OSU under a very good OC and system and believe the same would happen at UF. Different systems produce more than others.
