Sounds like your argument is we should give the contract to an inferior company just because Mush owns the superior company. You need to show that there was a better alternative. And considering Boeings recent failure...there is a good chance Space X was the correct choice for this contract. Do you have any reason other than you are upset Musk is actually trying to save the taxpayer money for why Space X should not have gotten this contract? Can you show a Boeing or another company should have gotten it?

I think his argument is we shouldn't give the contract to any company. If the money is for putting a woman and a person of color on the moon, it's an unnecessary expense, especially when they are cutting things like foodstamps.

See. You are allowing channing to politicize this with nonsense DEI talk. Go read his links. There is nothing about women or people of color in it. The contract is for...

WORK REQUIRED FOR THE DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, MANUFACTURE, TEST, LAUNCH, DEMONSTRATION, AND ENGINEERING SUPPORT OF THE HUMAN LANDING SYSTEM (HLS) INTEGRATED LANDER.

But if you want to play stupid games of defining people when it is not there. Trump will continue to Win!

Not my argument at all. Nobody has questioned SpaceX' s qualifications in this thread, including myself. If you can't address my points don't make up arguments for me.

Want to see a bunch of hypocrisy? Click here.

Special Counsel Weiss report on Biden Crime family

Bunch of right wing nuts claiming Biden is dirty cuz his son has a business that didnt involve him while claiming Elon who gave millions/billions to Trump for reelection is getting billions of sweetheart deals.

America is for sale folks and if you hate the right people the right wingers are AOK. Democracy crumbles.

Your point is we are wasting money for the project. Are you saying the project to go to the moon is a wasteful spending? After your comments about space...I do not get the feel that you believe that. Did I misread? I know you threw in the nonsense DEI language that was nowhere in the contract that I saw. But for some reason you decided to make it up.

I already gave you the two links. The contract is for the human landing system (HLS). Here is the human landing system webpage. You can read it right there for yourself, literally the first line.

    Human Landing System - NASA

So you continue to misrepresnt what I'm saying, not actually reading what I post, and accusing me of making stuff up.

So...are you saying the project is wasteful?

Sorry I did not see the part that did not matter that you decided to emphasize.

    The question that matters is...

Do you think the project is wasteful?

I am no fan of Musk or DOGE, but $38 million seems like peanuts compared to SpaceX other $733M contract...

EDIT: SpaceX has over $22 BILLION contracts with the US Government.

I've awarded bigger contracts for IT in the govt. 38M is pennies, especially for DoD contracts, it's actually a good deal. Boeing wont even write us a proposal without a min of 5M.

Also, why reinvent the wheel? Why can't we reuse the tin-can Lunar Landing Module from when we supposedly landed on the moon during Apollo?

What was the ROI of going in the first place?
The tech developed increased our standard of living exponentially.
Next trip will do the same.

Why don’t you drive a car that isn’t 55 years old or watch TV on a 60 year old device?

Or do you think the moon landing was faked?
