The Vandy QB sued for additional eligibility on the basis his time at juco shouldn't cost him D1 years. The thinking is that anyone who challenges will win since he did.
With reference to the JUCO eligibility rules in the long run I’m not sure I see anything but a created log jam for D-1 baseball programs.
The Vandy QB was already mentioned and here's an article that talks about Alberto Osuna who is trying to get an extra year of eligibility at Tennessee after playing two years at JUCO level and three years an UNC.
He was also at D2 University of Tampa until January of this year when he left for Tennessee about a week before their season started.
