Apparently cancelling “DEI” is impacting other soft areas of support. Like family outreach or considering gender unique issues in the military. I anticipate base commanders or leaders are stopping anything remotely considered “HR” type of support or efforts. For fear they’ll get turned in and quickly lose their job. “Air Force officers who have volunteered their own free time to make life in the service safer for those on active duty and less daunting for families during and after deployments say they are watching years of work be wiped away by the current crackdown on diversity initiatives. In another case, an on-base group of volunteers focused on on-the-job issues for women was disbanded, despite a track record that included pushing changes to flight gear and policies affecting pilots around the Air Force every day. These are the easy targets Trump and his sycophants can go after. And so they will. Deporting 10 million? Health care? Balancing the budget? Immigration reform? Productive legislation, or helping people? No can do- too difficult! Just Trump distracting his rubes, and punching down. Which obviously is all he ever does. Sad.
