hopefully they don't hunt them down and expel them from the military but I can see dt ordering the purge

Schoolchildren walk out of Pete Hegseth’s speech in DEI protest

Dozens of students walked out of their German school during a visit by the US defence secretary in protest over Donald Trump’s crackdown on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). American students at a US military installation walked out of Patch Middle School in Stuttgart for nearly an hour.

Pete Hegseth, the defence secretary, was booed by a group of adults who live at the military base who heckled him with chants of “DEI!”.

About 55 students “walked out in protest of recent events”, according to a letter from the school obtained by the Washington Post.

Since his confirmation last month, Mr Hegseth has banned Black History Month celebrations and restricted access to several books in defence department schools.

Doubt any of these students are in the military so can’t really expel them from the military

I assumed the “they” in your first sentence referred to the students since you included an article about the students that walked out

Apparently cancelling “DEI” is impacting other soft areas of support. Like family outreach or considering gender unique issues in the military. I anticipate base commanders or leaders are stopping anything remotely considered “HR” type of support or efforts. For fear they’ll get turned in and quickly lose their job.

“Air Force officers who have volunteered their own free time to make life in the service safer for those on active duty and less daunting for families during and after deployments say they are watching years of work be wiped away by the current crackdown on diversity initiatives.

In another case, an on-base group of volunteers focused on on-the-job issues for women was disbanded, despite a track record that included pushing changes to flight gear and policies affecting pilots around the Air Force every day.

Several Air Force officers told Task & Purpose they’ve seen volunteer groups axed that were focused on military families, service members returning from deployment, recruiting efforts, and airmen safety, all in the name of new Pentagon edicts to end “diversity, equity, and inclusion,” or DEI, programs.”

Airmen say 'people first, mission always' is falling by the wayside in DEI crackdown

These are the easy targets Trump and his sycophants can go after. And so they will.

Deporting 10 million? Health care? Balancing the budget? Immigration reform? Productive legislation, or helping people? No can do- too difficult!

Just Trump distracting his rubes, and punching down. Which obviously is all he ever does.

Sad. Trump's sad, sad version of America.

People claim all the time that today's youth are "soft" or "snowflakes" or that American education is failing, etc. BS. These kids are smart, witty, and tough as nails. Good for them.

I can see you in the morning when you go to school
Don't forget your books, you know you've got to learn the golden rule,
Teacher tells you stop your play and get on with your work
And be like Johnnie - too-good, well don't you know he never shirks
    He's coming along......
